GREAT DAY to head out to Rocky Mtn. National Park on the opening weekend of Trail Ridge Road! 4 Prowlers made the trek from Grand Lake to Estes Park to scout out one of the runs for Prowlin Colorful Colorado 2008. We logged on 230 miles from the event hotel (Marriott) back to the hotel on a run that's incredible! Snow drifts were over 20' deep in spots!! When we still lived in Colorado......and my mother was still alive.......we never missed the opening day of Trail Ridge Road. Looks like lots of snow still up there. I remember one year when we went up the Ranger Station and the Visitor Building were still totally snowed under. They had shoveled out the doors, but you couldn't see out the windows toward Fall River Road because the building was still buried!!! Ahhh........the memories. Will be traveling up there this summer over Trail Ridge with our grandkids (their first time out West!) Looking forward to seeing it again! ![]() |

Thanks, John, for the continued offer. Wish I could, but the only vacation we will be taking this year is with the grandkids. Finally getting to use the travel trailer we bought last year!! We are taking them on a trip to Yellowstone via Badlands, Black Hills, etc., stops in the Tetons (Jackson), Dinosaur National Monument and RMNP for a couple of days. They're very excited.....their first trip out West!! ![]() Hopefully, there will be a next time! |

Awesome Dog!! In the next few weeks when it gets above the century mark here in the central California Sierras and I swelter away (especially with this darn cast on my right leg) I'll look at these pictures and I'm sure it will help cool me off. Thanks for posting ... ![]() Gary |

Fly in with a friend and book a room Gary... We will find you a open passenger seat... That way you could be in the pictures besides taking them yourself... Mile Hi Prowlers will do what it takes to accommodate you... onecatnodog |

Wow, that is a 'very' generous offer, and I sincerely appreciate it!! I go back to the "orthopod" on the 6-18 to 'hopefully' get this cast off (after being in it for 6 weeks) and replaced with a walking boot, so I will want to stay close in case I need "adjustments" (read: better drugs). ![]() But ... I will certainly keep the 2009 run as a target to shoot for! |

We can make the adjustments in the parking lot at night Gary... Plenty of beer to go around and at this altitude it affects you quicker.. Plus a walking boot will give you up close parking and will have the Mile Hi Prowlers waiting on you Hand, and FOOT! John(onecatnodog)Collins ![]() |
