...what has the POA done for me ??? ...free access to more Prowler info than I can absorb... ...more new friends than I have time to meet... ...more fun than a Kat should have... ...afforded me the opportunity to find deals on Prowlers and Vipers, I found out about Woodhouse Chrysler thru the contacts on the Prowler board and eventually bought 6 Vipers from them and 4 Prowlers saving me many many thousands of dollars thru the years... ...bought the Gold Kat in the POA classifieds, got a good deal... ...afforded me the opportunity to sell several Kats free of charge... ...indirectly responsible for many aftermarket mods that really make my Kats special to me... ...afforded me the opportunity to attend functions I never would have learned about or been invited to... the "Dark Side"....what has the POA demanded from me... ...that I don't use real bad language... ...that I don't show nudity(darn)... ...money, they never asked for a thing....I send an envelope every year or so when I remember it....the only reason I have an 06 star is because I didn't want to try and remember to send another donation next year, so I sent 2 this time... ...did I send them too much ??? not to me....it is the best bargain out there in my opinion... ...should I have sent more, probably....I based the amount of $$$ I spent on other annual club dues (and get very little use from)... parting thoughts.... ...do they make a profit, not my business, but I hope so...do I want to see their papers and by laws etc etc etc ? no, I could care less... again, thanx to everyone that makes the POA possible...I don't want to list names because I don't know who all should be listed and I don't want to leave anyone out...so just thanx to everybody... thanx to all the friends that make each day informative and fun..... a special thanx to those that let me poke fun at them relentlessly with my cartoons, pictures and weird sense of humor... may the POA and all the members be here for years and years to come and best wishes to all... .............................sincerely, the Lucid Eye

Well put! I'd like to add something for all to think about: You get out of something EXACTLY what you put in to it. John Lennon said it better on Abbey Road. POA is a GIFT to us from the Krehels. If they didn't work so hard to make this site continue to run, where would we be going to online today?!? POA is not supposed to be a democracy either. The moderators absolutely have the right to delete or lock any post they want anytime they want. Deleting or locking negative unconstructive posts is the PROPER thing to do. Letting negativity run rampant just sours people on the site, intimidates people from posting, and scares away newbies. Common sense should tell you where to draw the line on a subject before it becomes a beaten dead horse. Think before you post: Type like the person is in front of you talking to you....you'd be surprised how much more polite your posts will be...and how much more pleasant the site would be to join in. |

Larry and Joe...........very timely posts and very well said. Now that the full moon has passed ......it's time to get back to the positive things in life.......some of those being this site, the friends we've made, the fun we have and the wonderful opportunities that this site offers to all of us. Hope springs eternal!! All the negatives that have been distracting us from all the positive we have here need to end............being negative and angry is a waste of energy........especially when we have so much positive to look forward to. We should never forget how fortunate we are to own these cars and to have such an "extended family" to enjoy life with. |
