Hello out there, I am in the process of buying a 2001 Silver Prowler in the UK, but have to confess that I know very little about the car, its attributes, performance etc. etc. I just know that I love it & need to own it. If anyone would be kind enough to send me info or point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful. Could you copy any info to my personal email too, rossmobile@aol.com Many thanks Mike |

Mike, on the menu, where you selected DISCUSSION BOARD, look two and three lines above that selection and select PROWLER STORY and FACTS AND STATS. That should give you a real good start. Buy the car, no regrets. ------------------ This message has been edited by ed monahan on 03-24-2004 at 12:11 PM |

You should most definitely get the car and receive more smiles along the way than you ever had before. England is a beautiful place, lots of windy country roads, awesome scenery-perfect for the Prowler. Good luck! ------------------ |

m-ross: Great advice by Ed. After you have familarized yourself with THE PROWLER STORY and FACTS & STATS, take some time and read some of the new and old posts under DICUSSION. If you have a particular question use the SEARCH feature or simply ask it here on the particular forum. Best of luck on your purchase! ------------------ |

welcome....where from in England.....last year I spent time in Liverpoole, London, Manchester,.....plan on getting back soon....best vacation I ever had.....the English are most friendly and hospitable....I got yelled at a few times for traffic problems....It took me a few days to learn how to drive on the "wrong" side of the road .....one guy even apologized when I told him I was from the US and was doing my best....loved it there.....Windemere.....maybe the most beautiful place I saw....I wondered what driving a Prowler would be like in England......you will love the Prowler experience.... |

Weird thought... Did they make an English version of the Prowler (RH drive)? Just curious what that looks like. I have driven a RH drive mail truck in the US before and it was definitely a challenge. ------------------ |

....I saw a few Vettes in England that still had the steering wheel on the left.....maybe if the car is only visiting ???......I sold a Prowler a few years ago that went to Australia and was converted to RH drive......VERY EXPENSIVE.... |

Mike, If you do buy, I converted a 99 to RHD in New Zealand back in 2002 and could help you if you need any. Big job but far from impossible. Mine looks and runs well and is the only road registered Prowler here. Sure is a traffic stopper. You can get me direct on park@formula.co.nz Regards Rodger Scorgie |

In England it is not necessary to convert it to RH drive, but you have to drive on the right (for us on the wrong) side! You will find everything you need with the "search" button. Also check for good prices: Or: |

I have a DC-Prowler Info CD from the RMC/Goodguys Member Germany Car Club, with lots of Prowler pics and a lot of technic information. I used the dates to go through the German / Europe registration with my Prowler. ( German Lanquage ). But there running some in GB with GB registration. ( I saw one in Aug. at the NSRA Hot Rod Supernats, England) |

Ed and Damon, Good to hear from you both. Ed, I have for months intended to get back to you with shots of the visit and some video clips and post you a DVD disc but have never quite got around to it. Will make the effort over the next few days. I had intended also to include a few video clips of Auckland and my car. Will keep in touch. Regards Rodger |
