I want to wish a warm welcome to one of our newest members Fizzy! Fizzy is heavily involved in the Houston racing scene and owns a (cough, cough) Mustang that runs respectable low 12's. He's also a friend of ours and has expressed his interest in the POA and has invited us the many events that take place locally. Fizzy and I will soon be at a track to have a Mustang - Prowler showdown! Beware... He talks a lot of smack! |

Welcome Fizzy, I too own a mustang modified by Saleen ... SALEENEXCITEMENT.COM Don't feel to powerful around these modified Prowlers. I too thought my Saleen had enough to woop these measley V6's but had a rude awaking. The fundamental problem is the takeoff.... Prowlers don't need to granny start 1st and 2nd gear, they just take off....>>>>>>> Our mustangs are too heavy weighing in at roughly 3800 to 4000 pounds versus the prowler weighing in at about 2900 to 3000 pounds depending on the person driving it. If you can make your mustang just takeoff like a rocket right from the get go with out having to do a granny start thru 1st and 2nd gear would be a good start in beating these prowlers. As you might know, 1st and 2nd gear are the hardest to land without burning rubber. I was told if you install TRACK LINK the takeoffs might be more firm and without traction loss at the rear wheels during 1st and 2nd gear. I took my prowler to Paxton back when they had a shop but as you might know they got bought over by Vortech. Also check out this thread http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/004467.html Welcome.... Later... ------------------ |
