Hello all! I´m new here and just wanted to say "Hi". I have been following POA for several months and I have been very impressed by this great site. All members talk with respect and have a fine sense of humour. I have read as much as I can on the board, to find out as much as I can about Prowler ownership and I used the "search" button often, so I hope I will not have dump questions. My long way to a Prowler-owner starts in 1999, but the most dealer won´t sell outside of USA and the prices I got were to high for me, so it ended with buying a C5 Corvette. In March 2003 I sold the C5 and found a supercharged Mulholland, sent the dealer my O.K., but he couldn´t wait till the money was over the big sea and sold to another gentleman. In April 2003 I found a unique blue/silver Prowler on eBay (Yes, it was Bob Holloran´s - great guy!), sent him my O.K., but you all know, this car found a new good home in Canada. In May 2003 I found a new Mulholland in Montreal/Canada, sent the dealer my O.K., but the car was sold one day before. This was the time I was down and thought about contacting CJ. But then in August 2003 a dealer from NY, whom I contacted in March 2003 (he wanted 44.200 USD for a Mulholland with 25 miles-I offered him 36.000 USD) sent me a mail, that he need space and I should give him an offer. I mailed him 33.333 USD and to my surprise I got a phone-call from the owner, that the deal was perfect. I organized shipping and in October 2003 I could pick up my new Mulholland from Bremerhaven/Germany. So the first Prowler came to Austria and I was lucky to got a new Prowler with a superb price. But first snow in October, so the Prowler is in his garage and the mods start. Let the fun never stop! OOPS-long story, sorry. BTW: Mike Gatlin inspired me to register here, when I bought the PTS-DVD. Gery S. |

Gerhard, I'm glad you registered and welcome to POA. You have been around the board enough to know there are no dumb questions, just an occasional dumb answer and they are just for fun. Take another look or 2 at the DVD then envision yourself being apart the spectacle, and start making plans for Texas and or Canada! |

Gery, great to see you posting. Make sure you take some pictures to submit for next year's calendar. There should not be too many duplicates of the shots you submit. Keep it stock. (except for the mods.) ------------------ |

Don: I know, but If I haven´t found this site, I haven´t spent so much money for mods during the winter. Winter is long in Austria, so more mods will come. Hi Gery, welcome to a great bunch of people. Wow 39.2 % tax, what is your insurance cost out there. Do you have to switch the sterring to the right??
