I don't believe that would have made any difference. The car would still be totalled. Also, note that the airbags did work (without fornt bumpers)and helped both people in the kat escape major injury.

The sensor is by the frame not attached or in the bumperettes

I still think airbags cause more damage than they prevent. Nissan (pretty sure it was Nissan's Maxima in specific years) is being sued by many people who were blinded by the airbag deployment. Also many airbags have had their deployment pressure reduced as the inflation of the bag was more violent than the accidents themselves.

Not to mention the inflation gas is poisonous and the powder that keeps the airbag from sticking to itself is a hazard.

I think there is no replacement for a good 3 or 5 point harness.

Hello All....here is an update..................

I purchased a new Purple Kat. The new Kat is coming out of the shop on Monday. Since I had to bury the silver kat waaaayyyy before her time, I deceided I had to top my first creation. I will be sending pictures soon of my new kitty. She is Purple on the bottom and silver on the top. Chrome wheels with purple painted center caps, silver rear bumpers, silver hood with ghost flames, silver decklid with purple air patrol. Entire interior (thats every plastic part) is painted silver or purple! Custom dash with flames, PHOTOS TO FOLLOW!

YOWZAAAAAAA.... I love PROWLERS!

This has to be the most severe Prowler crash I've seen yet.
In any case,cars can be replaced(even Prowlers),human lives can't!
Best of luck!

Hello , Tom

Nice to here that you came out of the car with no big disease. And, its also interesting to see that the prowler is a save car. ( I even do not think when something like this happens when I´m crusing in my 34 Ford Street Rod )
What happend to the rest of your crashed Cat. I´m looking for a crashed Bonnet and right sidepanes (in silver) in Florida.
Greetings , Condor goodguys@web.de
