Hey guys, i finally bought my dream car, thanks to buddy from San Antonio on the forum who helped me out. Great transaction bought a 99 black with 5k from Lexus Of San Antonio Tx. And love this car, like there is no tommorow. Before this i had a 97 C5, and boy oh boy never those again! Once you go Prowler YOU NEVER GO BACK BABY! I jsut wanted to get some insider info on things i need to know about my new toy and recommendations on the forum on what mods i should get. I am putting in this weekend a K40 built in radar detector + Viper alarm and speakers ( i think the stock ones are real crummy). Thanks again Deric |

Deric........Congratulations on your new cat!! I also have a '99 Black! Ask all the questions you want and you'll get a wide variety of answers. With regards to modifications, that is always a personal preference! Also depends on how much money you want to spend!! lol! Now you need to start attending some of the Prowler events. Get in touch with WildBill........he's only about 30 miles away from you! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

If your kitty doesn't have these, at least get front and rear mud flaps and ceramic front pads from raybestos (front's ONLY though!) Welcome to the club! |

I put MB Quarts in my Prowler. Left the stock subwoofer and it sounds really great without too much expense. (Speakers fit with no cutting except for the tweaters in the doors) JRL |

You don't need rear flaps. I don'r think they do any good (the front's ARE necessary) and look really goofy. JRL |

Hi Deric, Welconme to the POA! Now you need to join us on some cruises. There is a car show coming up in Princeton which club members will be attending. Welcome to the best site that you will find for THE PROWLER I can relate to your excitement as I got my first Kat in November (oh gawd what a long winter it has been) To me the cool thing about them is whether you customize or keep them stock, they are the most awesome car on the road. Enjoy and let your imagination (and wallet ) be your guide. P.S. mud flaps are a paint saver! Jeff |

Deric, Welcome. There are 2 basic must-have mods to start with. See prowler garage for part numbers: 1) Front mud flaps from Mopar accessories. About $30 from Chrysler when you can get them, otherwise try Ebay. 2) Raybestos ceramic front brake pads to cut down on brake dust- Pep boys- about $70. |
