suppose 10,000 folks signed a petition to get them made again and they would purchase one. Would DC start making them again?

If the number is too low, plug in a different one.

Just curious if they'd reverse for whatever reason.

No, they would never bring the Prowler back. It was designated to be a five-year production run vehicle right from the beginning.

....I would sign up if there was a chance of them being V8's....they claimed a major loss on each one made the last time...doubt they would want to lose more $$$

Yes, but, if that were the case, they knew that going in. It was a draw to get folks into the dealerships.

Why wouldn't they want folks there now?

Oh, I completely understand but, if 10K or 100K folks each put down a $5K deposit, I'm sure they could figure a way to make more. After all they have the design, parts, vendors, etc. 90% of the effort to get it into production has already been done and could be used again. Bringing it back would have to be cheaper then designing it from scratch.

Never say never...

I will say never, YF....because it doesn't have anything to do with that. It has to do with other things like future emmissions regulations.

So wouldn't that just mean a different or modified motor?

Although the prowler is gone, then engine in it lives on (and I thought I read that that engine will be around for some time).

Personally, I don't think they will bring it back but, alot of cars like the Camaro, Firebird, GTO, LeMans, Cobra, etc. all have production stop and/or discontinue for whatever reason then (like the Phoenix out of the ashes) rise again later down the road.

What I suspect (if there is alot of interest) 5-10-15 years from now is that you will see a lot of fiberglass Prowler replicars (ala AC Cobra)

YF, I see your point..........on the replicar but the Prowler really is nothing special compared to a Fire breathing 427 Cobra.

Isn't it awesome knowing that a select group of owners can continue developing friendships etc.knowing that the vehicle is unique and not seen everyday on the road.
I wouldn't want to see the Prowler come back.instead let it remain a part of Chrysler heritage which is what it was meant to be!

Depends on what they put in it.

I think alot of the Cobra replicars have ALOT more hp then the original did. Not to mention better ride, quality, and comfort.

Eh, I like the exclusivity...

But then again, re-starting production would mean more readily available parts!
