Who do you allow to drive your Cat? My Cat has only had 4 drivers since I took delivery. Myself and my two kids drive the Cat all the time and one very close friend drove the Cat once for a very special reason. |

Me and my wife. 2 weeks after taking delivery the salesman who sold us the Kat called me and said the dealership had a favor to ask. He explained how they had a brand new Mulholland they were trying to sell, and they had a customer who was seriously interested in buying it. He wanted to know if the customer could take our Kat for a short (less than 2 mile) test drive. Either I could go along or he (the salesman) could. It was clear the salesman wasn't real pleased about asking, as I'm sure the owner of the dealership assigned him to call me. Naturally, I asked what it would be worth to the dealership, regardless if the guy bought the Mulholland or not. Knowing that the salesman is a great guy, and knowing that the customer wasn't some punk kid just out for a joy ride, and knowing the dealership had treated me very, very well up to that point, I said yes. The salesman was pretty much floored by my okay. The Kat was in the shop for some adjustments anyway, so he and the customer took it out and put about 1 mile on it. The salesman and the dealership were very, very grateful. They gave me a 2-year paint protection package, some touch up paint and a steep discount on my front end mask and Mopar cover for my efforts. The customer ended up not buying the Mulholland. Kevin ------------------ This message has been edited by jkburns on 09-29-2002 at 05:56 PM |

Until last month, anyone that had the audacity to ask. Until then only 1 had, and she was afraid of it and drove like a senior citizen (what ever that is). Offered many times, but they all back off. |

So many I have lost count, the big quesion is when the Kat returned home with extra scratch's how did you react or when you are watching them pull in and hit something with the nose? I know I'm not the only one to see this , Marty? |

My brother (the cop), Bart (my prowler tech), Brian (the service manager), and Ross (the dealership manager). I think that is all, I don't remember anyone else anyways. ------------------ |

quote: Yes - it hurts when that happens. My partner Wayne nosed it in Colorado at a Sonic Drive In and then opened the door and hit the speaker (ouch) Of course two weeks later he found a house in Nashville appraised at $145,000 that we bought for $107,500 so I guess can pay to have the scrape repaired! As a heavily modifided, high mileage, daily driver, my KAT will never be a collector's piece or investment vehicle, nor even a candidate for restoration, so I just try to enjoy driving it and sharing the fun with family & friends. |

Around the office, there used to be several peers that were friends of mine. Over the course of five years, most have left. But while they were here I had several cars that were of interest to drive. I had a simple rule. If you don’t sleep with me, you don’t drive my car. (I figure this outta liven this post up) Of course I always made exceptions. And I always made sure when we pulled back up that we got back at a time when most would be getting back from lunch. Just to start rumors ------------------ |
