As with most exotic sports cars at one point or another there have been replicas built. Will there be a prowler replica one day? Could it be done? What frame would they use, what engine etc? |

Interesting question. I'm nowhere near informed enough to begin to answer that...But I HAVE heard rumors that DC may restart production in a few years once they settle their financial problems...Anyone else hear this rumor? This was told to me at a dealership. |

quote: No offense to you BT161 but I would not put much faith in what you overheard at a dealership. They are same breed that has said, "the convertibles are really rare" "this is the fastest front wheel drive car out there" "...sure you can. One of our guys in the service department put a V8 in his" The last one I actually heard myself. Unless I read it here or in print elsewhere, I doubt DC will make the Prowler again. |

DaimlerChrysler will NOT be building Prowler again. It was never intended to be built more than 5 years. |

There was a post a while back about a car that looks like a cat but is made in Canada or imported to Florida. I ran out of time right now to do anymore searches,,,, |

There is a Prowler replica on the market, though it is a very poor one. I believe it is called the Growler. Uses a V-8. While the design is a definite copy it looks cartoonishly distorted. I have heard rumors that DC will be building another street rod type vehicle but a full fendered design. Supposedly this person had information from a DC Dealership owner "very reliable". It would be nice but like Marty said, lots of misinformation coming from dealers. |

A friend of mine saw a replica type here in town yesterday. He said he thought it was me in my Mulholland coming down the road until it got close, he then saw it was a VW. He said he about hit a parked car gawkin' at it. Haven't seen it myself yet though. Prowler |
