about Kats.

I've heard lots of feedback through my kid's classmates and friends about how the Kat looks like a cool Hot Wheels™ car, but this evening as I'm leaving the supermarket with my son in tow and we walk toward the Kat--emitting an awesome coppery-orange tone in the Texas sunset, I must add, I overhear a boy--probably 5-6 yrs. old, in that dead-serious little boy tone, bespeaking awe and wonder, ask his dad; "Do you think it shoots fire out the back?"

It was a classic. If only I had it on tape.

Well I think I can add to that.

Tonight I was at the cruise in with Larry Mays. This family of four or five walks up to my Mulholland and one little girl in the family is really excited. Her mom says she always gets excited when she sees a Prowler. She goes on to say that the little girl really gets excited when she sees a yellow Prowler. Obviously seconds later they see Larry’s which of course is yellow. The little girl is beaming from ear to ear. Of course not nearly as much as when Larry hands her a Johnny Lightening replica of his car. I think he may have solidified the little girl’s love of cars for life.

Of course I’m probably not supposed to point out when Larry is a nice guy. It might ruin his image.

Know what you mean! My seven year old daughter was waiting at school and I ran up to pick her up. I usually park and then walk over to get her, but she asked that I pick her up at the drive through that day. I happened to be in the Prowler when I picked her up and when I pulled up the teacher that calls out the kids' names yelled "Kylie Fischer your Prowler is here." The kids went nuts and Kylie was in seventh heaven. It's neat to see the kids' eyes light up when they see the car. I usually get chased by kids on bikes trying to catch me at a light in town (we live in a small town) just to be able to see it. Oh to still have as much wonder in your eyes! You've got to love the little ones!!! Tami
