Finally had a beautiful weekend to get the Black cat out of the bag and give them both a lot of TLC! She came out of the bag as beautiful and dust free as when she went in last November!!!

We use a combination of products, actually. Mother's and Meguiar's. If you want more details, let me know! |

More info - yes please. I've always used Meguires on our other cars, but have been using ProtectAll on the prowler. Love your shine though on the new candy. Thanks! Tami ------------------ |

Ed........no one was more shocked than me!!! I drove as fast as I could in the Prowler to Pep Boys before he changed his mind!!! LOL! Actually, some of the guys convinced him. The control arms on the 2000 models and up have a different finish on them which stains from the brake dust. That was enough to convince him!!! Now......the 99 Black......maybe!! Of course, he saved the originals so he can always go back to stock! |

The ceramic pads are much better. I just FINALLY went ahead and bought some for my '78 Camaro. Now that I have the chrome wheels on there, I started noticing the HUGE difference. Just need to find the time to install them. ------------------ |

Must be tough to decide which cat do I drive today. They look good together. Can't wait to see CR in person in less than two weeks. ------------------ |

Tami......in answer to your request for more details: Obviously, start with a clean car! Using a large diameter (10") random orbital polisher with a fresh, terrycloth bonnet, we apply Mother's Step 1 cleaner. Remove the cleaner with old, freshly washed cotton towels. Next, with a fresh terrycloth cover, apply Mother's #2 Swirl Hider and Polish. Remove with clean, freshly washed cotton towels. The final step is another clean, fresh terry cover with Mother's #3 Carnuba Wax with either Simoniz or Maguiar's Gold Paste Wax added to the pad. Remove with clean, fresh cotton towels. Continue with careful removal of all cleaner and waxes and detail the car. As far as all of the black splash guards, weather strips, tires, fender guards, etc., we use Maguiar's #40. This gives a nice matte shine to these parts. The downside of this product is that it tends to wash off in the rain. We usually do this process 2-3 times a year. I maintain the shine with Maguiar's Quick Detailer after careful dusting. Even on the black car, we receive many comments both about the shine and the lack of swirl marks. With a bit of work, you can get the paint to lay flat with a depth to it that makes it look like you can reach right into the paint! |

A/C.....I don't carry a purse that large, but then if I did, for sure Marc should have seen it on the trailer before he drove over it!! |
