Sometimes it doesn't take much to go from beauty to ugly. If all the parts, the details, the lines, shapes and components fit together as one--if everything about the car looks exactly as it should in harmony with everything else--it is unmistakably beautiful. But even if the parts sort of fit and the lines are close, etc, the difference is huge, and even the biggest V8 you can stuff into it won't help. The folks at DC did it just right and captured the essence of car in the Kat. Just try riding in another car along side yours, watching it in motion, listening as the driver you must trust opens it up full bore. No matter how long you have had it it will take your breath away.

Sorry, Virginiacatdude but unless you just reserved the GROWLER plate, that personalized message is already taken according to DMV website https://www.dmv.state.va.us/dmvnet/plate_purchase/select_plate.asp

If PROWLERS are "CATS" (or KATS... whatever)...

are GROWLERS "DOGS"????

If I had a Growler, I'd have to change my plates to read "DOG DUDE"... That just doesn't exactly sound too cool to me... lol

Really doesn't look any better now than it did then. Why buy or build a copy when you can own the original.

I've seen all kinds of kit cars and was even involved with an early one and the common thread is that they almost always look like kits when finished(the few that ever are) This car (???) would be a disaster to drive. Just look at it !!! The junk thrown at the side of the body from those short front lenders would pummel the side of the body as well as you , if given the chance. That tall windshield would create a nasty turbulence inside the passenger envelope at any higher speeds. The rear fenders will allow junk to be thrown at the cars behind very easily, and of course IT'S UUUUULUGY. Its got the lines of a backyard, one off "special". Boy, I sure would like to build me one of those, I've got a pinto engine and its automatic trans. that I can make fit in just a few hours-what a deal. I really want to be seen driving around this neck of the woods in one of those-WOW!! I can hardly wait !! Then I can park my black '00 "midnite" and sign up car shows that have other cars just like this in them--NOT !!!! and that's my opinion, Obi-Wan

The only nice things on that ride are the big headlights sticking out over the windshield! I'll take one if she comes with it!!

I saw one . Its a Prowler replica to me. Looks not to well, I would prefer a real street rod, like a 32 Ford .
But, compare to a Prowler, the Growler had a new 350HP LS-1 V8 / 4L60E combo under the hood. But, for the price of the Growler a saw, you get easy the real one, a Prowler .

Very well said Carbuff - guess DC is too busy worrying about possible 'copyright-infringement' on decals !
