A/C, one person at corporate said they only have them in Phoenix but the next one had a diff. story, too.
PK, I agree the white with the huge decals leaves a little to be desired, but the shape and the way it opens from the front and back is a plus. It is still not a Prowler pup but I do like the looks.

Guess you all missed this post a while back. I contacted U haul to purchase one even if I could get the manf. number and I was told...NOT for sale and made especially for uhaul. Maybe this has changed but if not I don't think we will be seeing any of these painted behind our prowlers........unless it's a little HOT!!!
They do have a few down here, two at uhaul in New orleans. I rented one for Cruising The Coast.

No I didn't miss your post Al, it's just that I was blown away when I caught a glimps of the trailer in the back so had to ask the guy, maybe the rules will be different here in Canuck land, they do sell off the vehicles out here to and I've seen other tailers sold so maybe one of these will be also. I'm trying to find out if these are independent owners that supply some of the vehicles.

For the record, I know of one sitting 2 blocks from my house at the local U-Haul franchise dealer. So, maybe they're not all in Phoenix.

Paul, I later saw one on the east side of Cincy. The people at U Haul have no idea about that trailer. Every phone call was a totally new and different story.

Prowler Keith, I agree. I have seen a lot of used uhaul trailers now privately owned and I figure that one day they will probally sell the beat up ones, but if you look good the trailer is very well made, sturdy as hell. So hopefully if it is not in to bad of shape with slight repairs it would be a great trailer to have and cool looking behind the prowler. I just didn't want to wait to that day so I am getting a prowler trailer. I will get one of these when they do sell them. They have a lot more room, better access and ride a lot better because of the heavier weight.

Al I like the prowler trailer to but I took a good look at this u-haul oneit's well built ugly as hell in white but wouldn't be that colour long, and then you got Bill's Coke Cooler trailer now I really like that one big time and because I have a Red Kat it would look good. I have access to all the frame and axle stuff just working on getting a friend to part with one of his coolers for a decent price. If I can buy one of these trailers from u-haul I will also

We saw one of those in use at Daytona. It looked a little rough. It reminds me of a Camaro rear end.

Don't believe you can 'buy' one,,,,,unless U-Haul has some that are damaged or worn out. We checked that out several years ago,,,,and they weren't interested in selling them.

It is stamped inside in several spots "Property of U Haul" "If you are driving this, it is stolen from U Haul."
It is stamped deep into the plastic body on the inside.

All of the U Haul trailers were white with a bunch of decals on them, just fyi. I haven't seen one for about a year. I was told they were all shipped out west, possibly to AZ but who knows if that was true.

?????

Hey, Slacker, did you ever find out if there was any truth to this?

Geno - I found out that the guy who built the trailers for U-Haul here in the Phx. area was let go by the company after many years of service,, and finishing the design and fabrication of the small U-Haul trailer we are talking about. His name and address still has eluded me

Say, there are 2 of those available "for rent" only in the Uall Hall in Leesburg, Fl., they want $20 a day, quoted me $17 with a discount. Spec tag shows it weighs 585 lbs, leaving 415 lbs for packing and staying within Mopar hitch spec's. Tongue weight was at 40 lbs.

I've been checking on some obtional small trailers to counter the cost of the Prowler trailer. It's actually a motorcycle pull-behind but see what you think. I'm trying to visualize it with the Prowler 17" rims & color matched.
>>>>>>> www.mctrailersllc.com

The price of a MCIIR trailer is $1495.00, this includes a Dexter torsion bar axle, a choice of black or white, a cooler rack and 24 quart cooler, choice of Baby Moon or Chrome Spoke hub caps and LED lights. The options of a cooler cover for $65.00 and/or a tongue stand for $45.00 are available. Shipping as a completely assembled unit should cost about $200.00, allowing enough time.
