Prowler owners from AZ, CA and NV judged the PT cruisers for the 2009 PT River Run in Laughlin. This is the Area 51 PT cruiser during the light show with a trailer that opened up like a spaceship, complete with aliens, laser lights and fog, very cool.
This is the back of the Area 51 PT Cruiser during the light show with aliens in jars and a radioactive sign.

Wizard of Oz - 1st place People's Choice, Don't make me get my flying monkeys!
What follows is a series of photos of my wonderful road trip in my Prowler. The trip started in Malibu CA headed north up PCH (sometimes the 101) to Crescent City CA cutting inland on the 199 to Medford OR, shooting down the 5 across on the 50 to South Lake Tahoe then over to the 395 past the scenic Mono Lake then cutting through Death Valley on my way home to Las Vegas. This road trip had little bit of everything, ocean, countryside, mountains, forests and desert.
The lovely San Luis Obispo on the first leg of the trip.
Morro Bay CA on a beautiful day!
The famous Hearst Castle was my next stop on the road trip.
A vista point on the stunning stretch of PCH on the way to Big Sur CA.
Getting closer to Big Sur CA.
Big Sur, what can you say but simply stunning!
The photogenic Bixby Creek Bridge in Big Sur.
A typical Santa Cruz morning at the world famous boardwalk with the fog slowly fading away.
At a vista point along PCH in Northern California.
In the hills above Santa Cruz sits the Mystery Spot where the normal laws of physics don't apply. Balls roll uphill and trees grow in corkscrew patterns!
It was incredible to drive my prowler over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fran!
I stayed at the quaint Point Reyes Seashore Lodge. I suppose this would be the countryside portion of the road trip. This shot is just north of Point Reyes, CA.
Continuing north up the CA coast on the PCH somewhere near Jenner CA.
A vista point off PCH near Jenner CA.
Near Sea Ranch CA.
Off PCH on the way to Mendocino CA.
The views along PCH on the way to Mendocino CA were wonderful.
Headed into the redwoods down a long bumpy sometimes one lane road is the original Drive-Thru Tree in Leggett CA. The back end of the prowler is a little too wide to try to drive thru the tree, it's much smaller than it looks!
Traveling through the forest, the redwoods near Scotia CA.
Off the PCH somewhere near Patricks Point CA.
I couldn’t resist stopping off at the Trees of Mystery to see Paul Bunyan.
And his blue Ox Babe!
Almost to the top of northern CA somewhere near Crescent City CA.
Somewhere along the 50 east in the Lake Tahoe area.
A little further along the 50 east in the Lake Tahoe area on my way to the 395.
My first glimpse of Topaz Lake off the 395.
Another shot of Topaz Lake CA.
On my way to Mono Lake CA. The tufas rising out of the lake make it seem like you're on another planet.
I had to park the prowler to get closer to the lake but it was worth it. Just a short walk down the boardwalk to get closer to the lake. Here's a shot of the tufas that give the lake an erie otherworldly quality.
A shot of the tufas rising up from Mono Lake.
On the home stretch now through Death Valley CA.
The final stop on my wonderful road trip, Scotty's Castle in Death Valley.
