The alternator had to be opened up to clamp in a vice so I could get the pulley off. |

This is the inside section of the pully assembly. That is a friction material material attached to a coil spring that allows the pulley to catch in one direction and slip in the other. |

Coat hanger wire to hold the brushes in until assembly. I pushed brushes in with a right angel screwdriver. Once you have the alternator assembled just pull the wire out to release the brushes. |
