Here's a few old pictures I took many years back. I thought you all might like them.
Here is a car that was "parked" on the beach one summer. I saw several people that summer that parked like this. I'm sure there was alot of sprung doors that summer.
This is the lighthouse on Port Bolivar, just a ferry ride off Galveston Island.
This is a double exposure picture I took while on the ferry from Galveston to Bolivar. The background is Wolf Island. I think it is a war memorial. I like taking double exposure pics. This one was probably one of my first. I got some nice shots of The Wall that I double exposed, but haven't gotten them scanned yet. (My camera isn't supposed to be able to do double exposed pictures. *S*)
This is my uncle's '56 Chevy. (He still has the original tires.) He bought it new and has raced it since '57. He got so many trophys that he had to stop taking them because his house, basement, and office was full. All but a couple were for 1st place. The others were for 2nd. He started taking prize money after that. All the work done to this car was done by himself, and now, he and his son. He had a heart attack when he was just 22 years old and we always worried he would have one on the track. He stopped racing shortly after these pictures were taken and started showing the car. Now his son races it. These pictures were taken probably in the 1980's. I wish I was a better photographer back then.
These next few were taken at an all Chevy car show. (My uncle's name is Syl, thus, the Syvester.)
What a way to travel! I'm still waiting for someone to do this with a Prowler trailer. (Bob - You were asking for new project ideas...)
