Northwest Prowler Group at Barrett-Jackson
2007-01-20
Members of the Northwest Prowler Group journeyed first to Palm Springs and then to Phoenix for the annual Barrett-Jackson auto auction action.
The Embassy Suites Hotel in Scottsdale was headquarters for most of the Northwest Prowler Group that attended the Barrett-Jackson auto auction, although some were at other hotels and some had local time shares.
On Friday we took a short tour of the area and ended up at the Biltmore Hotel where RM Auctions was holding it's own event.
Our photographer drooling over his favorite 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible. It later sold for $2,420,000 even with the drool marks.
Notice the cloudy skies? Can you believe we had rain in Phoenix for the weekend we were there!
A couple of the ladies share some wine and a laugh about the slow service from the elderly waiters shown next...
The B-J auction also has a huge tent with all types of items for sale besides the cars.
There were even a couple of boats.
It would be impossible to show all of the hundreds of cars we saw, so here are just a very few.
An inside photo of the large area where the actual auction takes place.
Another old boat...
A 1999 black prowler and trailer. Only 156 miles on the car. They sold for $39,000 plus auction fees of course.
Afterwards we all went out to dinner at the Charthouse Restaurant. Thanks to the Rusnocks for making reservations. The next day some members flew back home and some drove back to Palm Springs. All in all it was a great winter break and an enjoyable get together for our group.
