|  | | Shirley Roth & Wendell Chute planned a day in the California sunshine. We met at the California Railroad Museum in Old Town Sacramento before heading to John Whites Rams Head Collection. Arriving at the collection the Buick Club arrived with one of our fellow members, Cathy & Jack Corless, driving his Buick.
The building houses between 20 and 25 vehicles with the majority being Chrysler brands John also has other models from a one of a kind Alfa Romeo to a Bentley.
After visiting the collection the majority headed off to Ione for lunch at the Rides & Rods Cafe'. Interesting place, especially the bar, good food and a friendly atmosphere. With lunch complete we headed off cruising through Sutter Creek amd the Shenandoah Valley wine country. Great roads with little traffic we headed over to one of Shirley and Wendell's favorite winery, Charles Spinetta Winery. The winery includes a Wild Life Art Gallery with one of the featured artists has been Gary "Radar" Burghoff of Mash fame. Thanks Shirley & Wendell for a great day of cruis'en, eating, and sight-seeing with our friends. |
