Cruisin' the Coast 2003 - Laddie & Karen's pics
2003-10-20
Well, the 3rd Annual Prowler Drags in Gulfport were washed out... We had rain on Friday and the track canceled the Friday events. So, the track agreed to create a Prowler class for the CTC Drags on Saturday. Well, we had eight of us arrive at the Gulfport Drag strip around 9:30 am on Saturday and the gates were closed. Called the track # and the recording said the CTC Drags were canceled due to the weather... Sorry to all who traveled to run in the drags I was disappointed as well. I was anxious to see Gene Underwood's High Output Paxton Supercharged Kat run. Dave Ridge's Home Depot cold air intake was intact and the it would have been interesting to see the results on the track. While cruisin' we had lots of opportunity to hear the temp results while driving around. The good outside air really makes a significant difference in air temps compared to the underhood temps. Lots of testing and reading the temps between Dave & Jay. Yea, I'll plan the 4th Annual Prowler Drags for next year and I'll include the Wed. Night Test & Tune in the event to give us four days to get on the track... We did have a good time Cruisin' & Eatin' during CTC 2003... I counted 31 Prowlers that I saw. There were another five owners who were here, but, I never saw them during the week. 15 was the largest pack of Kats we had traveling & Cruisin' together during the week. Thanks to Jerry Scholten for bringing I-Scream down. We are fast approaching the last pics of this White Prowler. We did get one shot of a Red, White & Blue Prowler parked together... He also donated some collectible T-shirts & Prowler Sun Glasses which I gave away at the Saturday evening dinner. I stopped by Dock of the Bay in Bay St. Louis to pick up my camera this afternoon (I left it there Friday night). Jerry Fisher asked me to say Thanks and express how much he really enjoys our POA club members stopping by. If you're ever down this way, I would recommend stopping in for a nice lunch or dinner... Here's there web address: Http://www.dock-of-the-bay.com/ I want to Thank all the Prowler owners who traveled here to participate. Enjoyed your company and we'll see you down the road....
