I'd like to thank all of the folks who made it to our POA Evening Out Event, with the Viper Club, at the Lost River Supper and Comedy club.
We had a couple of folks that didn't make it but all in all we had 47 total cars out there. We lost some more after the show when we cruised up Westheimer to the Texas Grill but we filled their parking lot. Then the Looky Lu's started showing up and the flash bulbs were popping.
The Comedy show was great with two funny guys appearing who picked on the Viper and Prowler people. I loved it when one of the comedians asked a Viper owner did he have a Prowler! The owner said no and the Comedian stated that those things must run, what, a million and a half?? The food was excellent also. I was called on during the Viper meeting to invite all of the Vipers to our upcoming Sept POA Colorado County Fair Weekend in Columbus. We got some great response to that. We're going to have to order a lot more of the Prowler and Viper cookies.....
It was great meeting some of the newer owners as well as people who have just joined the POA recently like Chrome (Jerry - Mulholland), Nick Bua (great ghost flames and pinstriping, Johnny Colunga Jr, all the way in from Port Arthur, our regular members and I met Bill Kovens who dropped in to look at the cars. He was on his Yellow Harley, complete with blue Neon. Turns out he sold his 97 Kat and now owns a 2000 and will be stopping by the POA to sign up and start joining in. He also invited any of us out to a Club he owns where they are having a Car Show tomorrow. Free Bar-B-Q and a band from 4 to 8 PM. I may just have to take him up on his offer. He paid my Kat a nice complimment when he said the way you have this car done up, it's lookin' like a Harley Prowler!
Two thumbs up!
