Need new hood supports and was looking to purchase the stainless steel set from LS Technologies. Any feedback before I make the purchase and which is the right one for the prowler. As always thanks in advance for the feedback. |

I replaced my stock supports with the LS supports, and was a huge difference. they open wider and hold in different positions. many members have them and I only like to buy once. |

Hood opens a good 5 inchs more and much sturdier units than stock. Stephen stands behind his products and for good reason. Just order the Prowler hood struts. He will ship you the right ones. Also available in stainless, a nice touch for underhood appearance. I put on both the Cats and love them, cause my head does not need more lumps! |

You can actually lift the hood up about half way and let go and it will raise all by itself from there. If you show your car as we do, get the stainless. Otherwise the black should do fine. |

Nick I put a set of black on Sharon's car. Hold up well. I have to order a set for my car, the originals can't support the weight of the hood for long. ------------------ |

Just recieved & installed a set of lift supports from LS Tech, ordered due to reading this thread. Mine failed for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Literally a five minute install, they work beautifully. Thanks from me also, for all who posted. |

I was reading this post tonight and decided to email LS concerning placing an order for some hood struts. I asked LS to call me on Monday. Thirty minutes later I received a call from Steve at 8PM Sunday night. I placed an order for the hood struts, and later realized I had spoken to Steve for 30 minutes. Steve was a great person to talk to, and in about 5 days I should have the hood struts. |
