I Have been looking at the cost of Prowlers of the last several months. The cost seem to be everywhere with no real rhyme or reason why they cost what the do. I have seen one Prowler be in the mid 20s with low mileage and another one in the mid 30s with about the same amount of mileage. Is it because these cars are so out of the ordinary the prices are just all over the place?

Also when it comes to financing a car that is 20 years old does anyone have any good idea on how to go about doing this? In just the short time I have been on this site it looks like the people selling on this site deal are really good and I know they are taken care of so buying from someone on this site maybe my first option. Again not buying for about a year but trying to plan everything ahead since that year will go by real fast.

Any car on any given day will bring what a person is willing to pay ... simple as that.

Good luck with your search and financing

Not all Prowlers are created equal. Some people haven't taken very good care of them and most are 20 years old.
A lot depends on how they have been stored, you would be surprised at how people mistreat them by not having a decent garage.

I can't help you with financing, good credit helps.

My credit union offers used car financing. My experience has been that anything you do at a credit union will be better for you than it will with a typical bank.

Those demanding higher prices may have extra mods or fixes. Make sure they detail everything they have done. Some owners spend a ton on mods and want to get some of that cost back. If the car is listed as stock there should be some maintenance upgrades if they took care of it, even if low mileage, simply due to age. I bought mine in 2016 with very low miles, but the car had nothing done to it in 16 years, so I have had to pay for several things that I had not considered in my budget, the most expensive being new tires.

But if you go with non run flats....Cost for tires is less than a grand....so dont let tires deter you....service records are important.....

The best company to go through on a 20 year old car that I've found with decent rates for financial needs is Light Steam.

Personally any prowler with 20K miles or less is going to be 28K to 35k. Over 20K miles 27K or less. But also depends on Mods that were done.
