Thursday June 14. Zack , Linda, Kelly and I were at the registration desk the entire day and did not get to mingle in the parking lot much. The rain held off until the BBQ was mostly finished. Friday June 15. It was still raining some when we left the hotel in the morning to the unearthing broadcast. The rest of the day the weather was great. The seats to the unveiling were great and actually were better than the reserved seats on the floor which sold for $25 each. The Prowler Club got mentioned twice during the days activities. Once during the unearthing broadcast and again at the unveiling in the evening. We were the only club specifically mentioned. I was not surprised at the condition the the 57 Belvader and actually thought it made the unveiling more interesting than if the car was in pristine condition. Saturday June 16. Saturday was sunny and hot. The open car show was fun. It was really a sight to behold with 62 Prowlers and Marty's SSR attending the open show. There was one Prowler in the indoor show. It was the only post 1988 model year car allowed in the indoor show. The Tulsarama people set up a video shoot of us leaving the show at 3:00PM. They It will be including this in the Centennial video the are producing. It should be available in about 60 days. I will confirm that we are in the video and post a link on how to purchase it. Many people donated items and we held a raffle in the parking lot. We raised just over $1.500. $1,000 was given to a police officer in Zacks deapartment who had a liver transplant and has exceeded his insurance coverage. $500 will go to the POA. Sunday June 17. The weather for the Cruise around north east Oklahoma was perfect. We had police escorts 90% of the time and managed to keep 60 plus Prowlers together. The food at lunch stop at the Restaurant of the Cherokees in Tahlequah was great. We had turkey, beef , stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans just to mention a few of the items. The whole meal including drink and gratuity was only $10. What a bargain. The escort from the restaurant was a Prowler first. The lead escort vehicle was a fire truck with an American flag flying from the rear. The fire truck controlled the traffic lights so they were always green when we passed. Monday June 18 Our weather luck did not hold out this morning. It was raining hard when we left the hotel to cruise route 66 to Oklahoma City. When we hit the city of Bristow it poured. 4th avenue in Bristol was flooded. We did some serious Prowler surfing through the city. After that the skies cleared up and the day turned out to be sunny and hot. In fact one of the hottest days so far. Tuesday June 19th. Most people checked out on this day. Of the bunch who stayed people broke up and did their own thing. Linda's brother lives in OK and he came to visit so we spent the day with him and hit some of the points of interest on Route 66. Some people went to a National park in AK and others went to Oklahoma City. This evening was the worst weather of all. It poured buckets and with the extremely high winds it was raining sideways. Parts of Tulsa received hail. Linda and I were back at the hotel and were really worried about everyone else. The group that went to AK hit really really bad weather and even managed to get two Prowlers stuck at the park. I'll let them tell the story. Gary and Tami Knepper got stopped by a really very bad storm coming back from OK City. Wind gusts over 70 mph and hail forced them to sit under an overpass. I guess they thought they were going to die. Again I'll let them provide details. Wednesday 06/21. The roads were still wet when we left from the hotel. A small group of us went to Afton to the Daryl Starbyrd museum. We got to meet Daryl himself. We ate in a really small restaurant. The food was excellent. It was a really good day. I hope everyone had as good a time at the Tulsa event as Linda and I did. Thanks to everyone who attended. We hope to see everyone at Woodward. We left Tulsa on Tuesday and traveled to Wildcat's place for a look at his Dart. He did a really super job on that. Much more impressive in person. The photos do not do it justice. On Wednesday and Thursday, we went to see PTLeftTurn who has just returned from a one year tour of duty in South Korea. While there we received our first riding lesson. And thanks to the Lucid Eye for meeting us at the Route 38 Diner. He explained the Larry had to clean up the yard as it was getting pretty deep. I still wondered why Alley Cats picture was hung above the urinal though. |

This was another great Prowler event. We got to meet some new faces and of course enjoyed hanging out with a bunch of old friends. I may need to ditch the SSR and get another Prowler before the next event as it was wasn't near as much fun running at the back of the pack on all the cruises. At least it was better than leading them all like last year. This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 06-24-2007 at 06:52 PM |

Bonjour! We arrived home late last night and had a good trip back. Drove the scenic way home thru Banson Mi then across the Ozark mountains, took a ferry over the Mississippi river onto Fort Wayne, Sania, Toronto then into Ottawa. One way total 3,417.4km (2,118 miles). Good run for One Kool Kat. Many thanks to Zak and Rich for an outstanding event. Will fondley remember the underbody and overbody muddy car wash rain storm. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at Woodward Dream Cruise. Grand Touring Louise |

Thanks again for a wonderful event. We, too, left early due to the length of the drive and small kids at home. This event made the decision to keep the Kat very simple. We got an offer in the parking lot of the car show, but just do not see how we could sell now. Christine had the best time and is looking forward to Cruisin for a Cure this year. We are off to Cancun for a week of scuba and sun. Thanks again, |

Coming into the final day of our beautiful odyssey, some 3,460 miles to date. Met old friends and made many new ones in Tulsa, outstanding event, unbelievable coordination with some GREAT local police agencies keeping all the Cats safe and the public at a safe distance. Have spoken with literally hundreds of people in 15 States, at restaurants, gas stations, and motels, wonderful experience. Teaching my 9 year old grandson (soon to be 10)to remove side panels and polish car, PRICELESS. Thanks to all the attendee's for making this such a success. Couple of pic's. attached

I was looking thru some old photos and was looking at the Prowlers that I had shot and saw one that had this site on it's window..Lo & Behold here it is ... O n fathers Day '07, me and a friend went to play some disk golf down by the creek back in the hills..We decided to go early. When we came into Salina Ok. we saw such a site. Prowlers linded up nearly all the way across the whole town..I told my buddy that I had to take some photos...He said what for..I said some people wouldn't see something like this in their lifetime...Besides there is more money lided up there than is in this whole town, not even counting the drivers... |

I am glad you found us. My wife and I along with a member from Oklahoma City hosted the event. We really enjoyed that particular cruise. I am glad to hear that people enjoyed seeing all the Prowler cruising together as much as we do cruising together. Thanks for sharing the pictures. The Purple Car with cats head trailing into silver flames is my wife and myself. The people of Oklahoma were wonderful and very hospitable. I don't remember driving any twistys. Zack from OK City laid out the cruise route. About the pot holes. We had at least four bent rims in our group and those are just the ones I heard about. |

Thanks for posting the link to the Salina OK photos. That was a great trip! A group of us found the mountain roads in SE OK. lots and lots of twists and turns. It was very much like the foothills parkway in the TN/NC Smoky Mountains. Not to worry, our bent rims have long since been fixed. LOL |
