Needing Help for who I believe is the oldest Prowler owner that attended the Tulsa event and Drove there. Carter hit a chuck hole in Tulsa on there crappy roads and it caused the two sided tape that holds the trailer light in to give way. Walkie talkies saved from doing more damage but it trashed the lens cover. The Colorado Prowlers took up a collection to help with the repairs and need to see if any of you Prowlers owners have a extra lens cover on the pass side or a complete assy. for a trailer... Not sure if the lens cover can be changed... By the way Carter is 74 years old and says the Prowler has kept him young... Hope I can cruise when I get his age with the guys. Please someone out there give us input and help us out.. The damage nearly broke his heart and would like to repair it as fast as I can so he doesn't have to look at it... Thanks onecatnodog the keeper of the Duct Tape..

Same thing happened to the right side trailer tailight assembkly on ours. I epoxied the retaining frame to the fender, let it cure for 12 hours, & bolted the tailight assembly back in. Good as new.

(From the tire's viewpoint, it is ugly, but this trailer doesn't stop moving long enough for anyone to see it.)

Thanks ED for your encouragement but it cracked the lens and most of the time it sits under his covered patio and he will have to look at it daily. It also took a notch were the top half of the light goes into the body.. Anyone with a pass. side TRAILER tail light... onecatnodog

Hope you can find one. I met Carter at Tulsa and enjoyed talking to him. Really liked the flames he had added to the Kat.

OneCat..and Colorado Group..

Other Tulsa car troubles..The smoke you guys were seeing coming from the back of my car wasn't condensate steam from the Air Conditioner??

Something a little more problematic.. The AC completley quit after leaving the Tomahawk truck stop. I think the AC compressor greanaded and that was compressor oil hitting the exhaust manifold??

Too many other things going on now to even wash the car. It the scheme of things it's no big deal.

OK...now back to helping Carter getting his trailer nursed to health..

Warm Regards..

Rich: Cross the banner off of the missing list. I onecatnodog have the item.. When going inside the building to use the bathroom there was a lady from the event at the front door complaining about all the ruckus going on in the parking lot and that they had to park so far away. I explained that it was the Prowlers Car Club Meeting and that we were doing a raffle in the lot and that all the yelling would be over shortly. She then asked me about the Banner and if that belonged to the Car Club that was hanging up in the court yard and said that they had paid to have the court yard set up for the reception and she was going to have the banner taken down and thrown in the trash.. I told here I would take care of it and safely removed it rolled it up and took it to my room for safe keeping planing on putting it back up later that evening after they had left. Well partied in the lot till 11:30 and my wife went up at about 9:00 and packed everything.. Including the Banner that was on the counter. Woke up at 6:30 loaded all the stuff in the car and Carters trailer and went back in side for breakfast, not even thinking about the banner since I didn't see it on the counter... MY BAD! As soon as I read your post I called my wife and she said yes she packed it, I'm glad it wasn't left in the room as in the trash it would be... Sorry! So it's safe and sound here in Denver. If you would send me the address of were it needs to be shipped and the owners name, I would be more than happy to do so at my expense... Thanks, John(onecatnodog)Collins

Add to problems,

Blown turn signal fuse. Easy fix, all ok.

Tammy and me got caught in a very severe thunderstorm last night on the way back from Blacwell. The winds were reported to be in the 60-70 mph range. We sat under a bridge for a while and I really thought for a moment that we were going to see the Emerald City. The car was bouncing around and the roof was puffing up and down as if we were going 70 on a bumpy highway. It was scarey to say the least. I ran the one toll on the 412 turnpike. I was not rolling my window down for nobody. lol I called my cousin and was told there were not any twisters around so we ventured east and made it back around 1AM. It took us 3 and a half hours to go 110 miles. Sometimes we were only going 20 mph it was so bad. I ran over a divider marker in a construction zone that was about 3 inches high but I haven't been out to look at the car to see if it damaged anything. The weekender contents got wet for the second time this week. I guess I need to examine the gasket.

Rich Ware had been looking for us as we did not arrive back when scheduled and the hotel staff was waiting for us when we arrived. They let us parke under the front drop off canopy overnight due to reports of hail in the area. Thankfully we did not see any.

I think it's time for the wipers to go back on. The rain got so hard at times the Rainex was useless.

We feel very fortunate today.

It was not Sno's car thjat had thje alternator problem but was Brian's (KatHunter?). Welding the pulley did not fix the problem.

We just arrived at our friends' lake cabin in South Central Kentucky where we will stay for the next four nights.,

Yesterday, instead of heading back directly to Kentucky we joined five Prowlers on a cruise to Southeast Oklahoma. The drive there was GREAT, over some mountain passes etc. We stopped at "Hateful Pam's Diner" in some little burg - Tellimina ??? - and then went on Oklahoma Route 1 - 53 miles of the most gorgeous mountain/hill county you could ask for with about 2 dozen Vista pull offs. We drove all the way into Arkansas and then ran into a hail storm.

Taking evasive action to save the vehicles from damage, Brad Grubbs was trying to get under a tree and got the rear cross member caught on the edge of the road and the left front wheel ended up almost a foot in the air with the left rear spinning in a ditch of water. When it was all over there was no damage to any vehicle and we were able to push Brad's car out - the only time my 'girth' was an assest as I stood on the A-arm to push the front end back to the ground!

It was a great day and great ending for a great event for us!!

Why?

Why didn't the traveling Prowler Armadillo trophy make it to Tulsa to change hands???

Where is it now?

Will it show up at Woodward in August?
