...the Kat will also have a hard top on it most of the time....that is a bunch of ORANGE....I am leaning towards reinstalling the fender protectors, what do you think....

ps...the mesh in the TGF grill and the TGF sidepanels will also be painted black...

seems to make the car look longer without them...

I will be interested in the response you receive. I have been debating doing this on our Kat as well. I was even thinking of painting the fender protectors purple.

On - Black.

It looks like it is missing something, maybe because we are used to seeing it there.

I hate to be different than the rest. But. To me, it cleans the lines of the car up with-out the protectors. I know why they are there. But they always were a distraction to me. JMO

Off - cleaner look.
Mine have been off for 35,000 miles. I just touched up a few dings wit a black Sharpie while on Power Tour.

You're gonna paint it again later anway, right?

OFF, for a more HotRod Look. Do you see pre 49" Street Rods with black PLASIC fender-protectors on, crusing around ??
With OFF, you have to cruise with mudflares on long distance to get not to many chipsĀ“, or tape the fender.
Anyway, with on to many people ask my if this is a kit car,so I took all plasic looking parts(Bumper..)off. Less questions about that plasic stuff and a lot cleaner look.

Ask yourself this, if the Prowlers never came with the protectors, would you ever think of putting hunks of plastic on there?

NOT !!!!!

Well you have a point, but if they never had them on and my fender had a bunch of stone chips I would put the 3m clear plastic on or if they had fender protectors for sale, they would go on. But again if no stone chips it would be left alone

Definately off,

But I am running TGF front spoiler and rocker panels that do give some protection to the fender.
Your right though, that is a lot of orange..

Leave them off for awhile and see if it grows on you. If you get chips then cover them up with the protectors.

Tie Breaker vote. The driver's side on, the passenger side off. No need to thank me now, money later on will suffice.

I have wanted to remove mine but never did.I have been told there is 3 strips of tape holding them on and to take a piece of fishing line to remove.Would it not be easier to use a hair drier to heat up and pull off,I dont know so I'm asking.

I think....put em on, but paint them the same color as the car. I think there will be many chips without them.

I also hate mud flaps...makes the hot rod look like Grandma's....like the plastic on the couch I know they work though.

Thunder if you paint the flaps same color as car they look pretty much like fender.I painted mine and love the look now but though like you at first.
