Imagine if Chrysler pulled all unsold Prowlers out of the pipeline and refitted them with an all aluminum Hemi V8. Then Sold them as a limited edition 2005 Prowler

Imagine what it would do for Chrysler
1. They could use the Kats as marketing magnets
2. Promote the all new more powerful all aluminum Hemi
3. Draw more customers into show rooms
4. Get tons more free press
5. etc...

Imagine what it would do for existing Prowler owners
1. More public interest in Prowlers
2. Higher resale values
3. Another chapter in the Prowler saga
4. etc...

Look back to what the 427 Cobra has done for Ford.
Look to what’s happening with 67 Mustangs begin bought up and converted into GT500 Cobras

Humm...

Well as much I agree the Prowler should have had a V8 and that "Daimler" didn't "Get It", I am glad they kept ALL the Prowlers basically the same. In the long run it will keep the resale value of all of them fairly equal and not just a higher value for a Special Edition. Give it a few more years and the resale prices will start increrasing. The old rule of thumb has been that prices boittom out in the 7 to 10 years range and then start increasing.

In the true Hot Rod spirit some people are figuring out how to get V8 power out of the V6 engine and have a weight advantage. (Naturally aspirated my new stroker is putting out HP & torque numbers similar to V8 Mustangs, and it is running way lean)I suspect in the near future (next year or two) someone will come up with a retrofit tranny/rearend package too.

That said, WOW, would I love to have a Hemi in my Prowler!
