My wife and I just spent a wonderful week in Charlotte, North Carolina. We got to spend some quality time with her daughter and grandson and also saw a few good NASCAR races. My Prowler ran like a champ from Pennsylvania to North Carolina but we had a bit of a problem on the way home. We had just left for the trip home, when I had a run-in with a turkey vulture (a big black, ugly bird, with a wing span of approximately 4 to 5 feet wide). I hit the SOB with the passenger side mirror. Needless to say, I`m replacing the mirror. The bird died on impact.

Skuter,
I would be counting your blessings, had that bird hit your windshield, it might have caused you to lose control of the car. Glad you are ok and only have to replace the mirror.

Skuter,
Destroying a Prowler mirror? That's unexcusable..I'd go find the assailants children and kill them too..I'd even kill all the dirty birds friends for that..

skuter,

Glad to know you guys are all right. That poor bird didn't have a chance, as a matter of fact, nothing would. The bird only saw a red/black blur before impact. In know you guys in PA use headlights for deer, but the mirror, that's cruel

I can sell you this mirror, cheap!

Scott, If I had been in front of you on this trip, it would have hit my trailer. You must have been uncharacteristically pretty far behind the car in front of you, or maybe it glanced off his tailpipe? Glad you guys are okay.

Skuter - I got to Charlotte last week on Tuesday and a lady in our local office in Charlotte (Kelly) told me she just spend some time with people with a "black & red Prowler with a trailer" from Pennsylvania. I guess Kelly must be good friends with Debbie, huh? I found out it was you all and told her I had just met you a couple of weeks ago in Louisville.

Sorry to hear about the bird incedent. Glad at least it wasn't any worse.

Regards

Marty

Marty,
What a small world. I`ve known Kelly for a few years now. She is a very good friend of my step-daughter (Debbie) and is always at her house when we visit every Memorial Day.
As per the mirror. I ordered a new one from my local dealer. It lists for $137 but they said it would cost $106. I think they felt bad for me.....................Scott

Skuter,

Count your blessings, I hit a rotwiler with my kat. Really the way I look at it he jumped in front of me but needless to say nose didn't fair so well. Had to change it out. On a good note the grill didn't break. Just the front facia. With more then a little help from Koz down in TX the Kat is now back on the road with a new road chip free nose.
