I find myself waving to Vipers when in the Kat. They have all waved back too. Just wondered if this is a common practice by all here. Whats funny here is when I'm in my Vette I always wave to other Vettes.... and rarely get a wave back.... Wave to a Viper in a Prowler and I'm batting 1.000 ------------------ |

I agree. Had vetts, always waved at other vetts with response. NOT anymore! They either act as if they didn't see me or just look the other way. Oh well. Vipers always wave. Guess we are in a class almost all our own. ------------------ |

I found the same thing too, we are in a class by ourselves... Nothing but class! Vette owners just turn their noses up... Prowler envy snobs... I did however get a nod from a Vette owner just the other day who lives in my development... OOOooooo, a Nod! Other than that... Nothing... Viper owners and even the roughest & toughest Harley riders give me a thumbs up every time... Nothing but smiles! Doesn't ruin my day if a vette owner doesn't wave back though... I will be sure to get another two or three by the time I get to the next light and he will just continue to look at his roof lining (probably the rearview mirror) as his girlfriend breaks her neck in order to catch every last glimpse of the Kat WildBill |

I have never even got a nod from a vette owner, most of them out here anyway seem to think their u know what don't stink, so sad don't u thk. another group that have some bad attitudes to our Kats are some of the Hot Rodders for some reason they don't accect the Kat and if it be known most of them never even built the cars they drive just add some shinny stuff and make like they spent like 10 yrs building them, lol Like WildBill says even lots of the boys give the big thumbs up when I pass them on the highway. Bill, I got the Kcat after the Vette and still, other Vette owners have never waved back when I am driving it... No, I will not wave to other Prowler Owners, I will pull them over and tell them about POA. ------------------ This message has been edited by Howler Cat on 05-29-2002 at 12:24 PM |

Frank, Vettes are a dime a dozen in Plam Beach county FL. That was #1 reason why I never got a vette.... everyone in has them. Prowler is car for a unique person with an outgoing personality. Here is a break down of my waving avg: ------------------ |

I wave to: Prowlers, Vipers, Vettes, Motorcycles and any other vehicle with a smiling face in it. I find that almost all wave back. Must be the polite southern thang. ------------------ |

Spoons Thats why I got the Prowler. When I got my Vette in 99' it was cool and not that many of them. Now, forget about it. They are truly a dime a dozen! For example; I was at a light in my 99 Vette... in front of me was a 01' Conv Vette, next to me a 97-99 Coupe, two cars back a new z06. At one light.... four late model Vettes. That was it... the Prowler was in the works. Steve T ------------------ This message has been edited by C5 Frank on 05-29-2002 at 03:18 PM |

I too own both and it always amazed me that Vette owners rarely wave at each other...I stopped as well as I seemed to be the only one waving..however in the Prowler, everyone waves..especially, PT owners, Viper owners and Harley riders.. ------------------ |

Frank, There are so many trucks and SUVs that it's kind of hard to see if there are any other low riding cars around! Out here in the country you might see one or two vettes a day. I have seen 3 other Prowlers in the last 6 months. ------------------ |

quote: I have to agree with you both C5 Frank and Steve. Every day when I go to work, I must of ran into at least 2 vettes daily. But, how many 1963 Split Windows do I see? ONE!!! And it's mine. They are as rare as Prowlers in '63. Only 10,000 plus were made. After 39 years, I don't know the exact numbers that are still running... ------------------ This message has been edited by Howler Cat on 05-29-2002 at 04:06 PM |

I always wave to other Prowler owners....I've also been known to chase them down. I carry an information flyer that I did on the POA and I've handed it out, left it on Prowler car seats, under windshield wipers (don't go there), etc. I've actually had Vette owners wave, give me the thumbs up and big smiles!! Do you suppose maybe it had something to do with the color?? LOL! |

Kind of off the topic, Motorcycle riders always wave to each other EXCEPT Harley riders. I would say less than 10% wave back. I find it humorous that Harley riders are waving to Prowlers. Maybe it is just a local thing. We thought maybe they were afraid to let go of the handlebars since they might fall off! lol ------------------ |

ED if I didn't reply to that bunch of crap you just said you would be disappointed.LOL YOU have it backwards it's the ones on the ... crap bikes that worry about falling off and yes they will wave at anyone just to get some attention, (some even wear Capes)..out here in my country the boys on the HD's appreciate a quality ride and a quality Kat... PK, I meant the handlebars would fall off, not the riders. I accept your appology in advance. lol. Like I said, it must just be a local thing. A lot of posers around here on their Harleys. Very few riders. ------------------ |
