Last night I took the kat to my town's first monthly cruise-in. Didn't know how it would be perceived, since cars of all makes and years attend these events. Well, it got a LOT of interest.

So anyway, this guy walks up and says "I think you have the best looking car here". I modestly say "thanks, but there are a lot of really nice cars here tonight". About 45 minutes later the same guy walks up and says "well, I went through again, and I still think yours looks the best". Man did that give me a great feeling.

I know just what you're talking about...I took mine to a local car show and won the lady's choice award and it felt great.

They're just confirming what we already knew, right

Well Hotrod, Larry and Sue Mayes invited me to their clubs weekly cruise in. It was fun for me. Although Larry’s Wildcat seemed to garner more attention. Imagine that . But it was cool to see the other cars and spend some time with the Mayes’s. The main comment I got from a guy was talking about the Mulholland paint and how it reminded him of a mid 60 GM his father had had. Of course for me, the color reminds me of the 68 Mustang my dad had so I can relate.

Sounds like Larry needs to get you over here some Friday night and vice versa?

Well, hello there KK! I haven't talked to you in some time. Congratulations on your first win! I'm assuming it was in YOUR Woodie? Just kidding Mike.

It's always a great feeling when other folks admire your kat!

Whealy, the Wildcat will always get more attention, although I was surprised at the number of people who said they would keep it stock (talking about mine).

I would love to get some folks from the Illinois/Indiana area together. We need a mid-west posse! Let's see about getting some folks together this summer.

Hi back at you Hot-Rod. I've been missing seeing your posts as well. I can see you're keeping busy in a constructive way--showing off that beautiful car.

Yes, it was MY car. Don't think I didn't rub that in a bit. Seriously, Mike was thrilled for me and even ran up to get the plaque for me...or maybe he wanted people to think it was HIS car...hmmm.

We'll still get to have the pleasure of your company at ProwLancaster, right? Looking forward to seeing what other modifications you've made to the car despite your "alleged" pledge (who knows if MeanGene was telling the truth about that) not to make any further changes. Did you ever get your chrome grill??

Congrats! - Hot-ROD

I knew it was a matter of time, a "few" complements - head spinnin', before the mod-madness would kick in - Enjoy the ride!

KK - You know, I'll always tell it like it is - for me

We go to a cruise night and/or a show almost every weekend during the Summer. They are a blast.
