Do the wheels have to be taken off to put the front splash guards on? I see the slots that they slide into, is that it? Do they just slide in or is there more to it. Actually, I don't have the splash guards yet because my dealership said they can't find any for sale in their computer from any dealership. They told me the price is about $32 for just the front, but all the ones I find are much more. One website had them listed for about $64 and on ebay they are going for even more, does anyone know where I can get them cheaper? Thanks.

The wheels do not have to be taken off but it is much easier to put the guards on if you do.

The flaps can be located on ebay. Also, CJ says that they will make the flaps again. I'll try and post a shortcut below.....

I have installed about 10 sets of these in the last couple of years...NEVER REMOVED A TIRE...obviously the rears are no problem...5 minute job...the fronts require nimble fingers and a small open end wrench, forget the size....hold the bolt between two fingers and drop one in each slot, starting with the slot furthest away from you...then attach the flap...next, with two fingers, tighten each nut as far as you can...when all three are on, tighten them with a wrench....tedious, but easy....check all the carriage bolt holders for fit before you start....sometimes there is too much glue for the bolt to fit right in the slot....have had to leave out a bolt on a couple of installations due to extreme gobs of glue on the slot....still not a problem even with only 2 of the bolts fastened....hope this helps....

10mm open end wrench is required. loctite is good, but its
harder to remove later on. I just used a dab of rtv
(silicone) on tip of stud so nut won't back off.

Thanks for the info guys. I can wait a month or so for the splash guards. Hopefully I will be able to find some around the original price of $32.
