I was thinking of ordering a air patrol. Anyone have any issues with them, either with quality or how they last? Sasy ------------------ |

Ya know....it look great but works lousy..I have something similar for my C5 Corvette..aftermarket, and it works wonderfully...the air patrol does not stop the swirl enough. Wish i could report better results.. ------------------ |

Sasy- Leon is right. They look kewl, but really don't provide any help. The glass does refelct badly and scratches even worse. JOMO ------------------ |

I ordered an Air Patrol and found that it looked great but did nothing to stop the air coming back at you. I returned it and they gave me a full refund. I e-mailed CJ that her husband ought to find out from DC if they could produce a wind screen for the Prowler like they have for the Chrysler Sebring Convertable, but she has not gotten back to me eith an answer yet! |

Everyone is right. Nice looking; but form, fit & function is not worth the money! I traded my extra chrome grill for one of these. Looks great - Works like ??? I sent them an e-mail asking questions about adjustments, because mine doesn't fit properly (in my opinion) - NO RESPONSE. Sorry Air-Patrol makers, but customer service & satisfaction has not been met with my purchase. Spoiler is a good idea. If your going to pay for looks, you might as well enjoy what your buying. ------------------ |

BKG...... Sorry, but the wheels at DC turn slow sometimes even for me. Bob put in a call to the proper contact. She returned his call Friday (he was off Friday). He returned her call today and now he is waiting for her call again! Hopefully, in the next couple of days, they will catch up with each other so that we can obtain an answer for you. ------------------ |

A factory wind screen would be great. ------------------ |

CJ; Thanks for your response. I believe that a removeable wind screen would certainly sell well to Prowler owners. My wife is always complaining that her hair gets all messed up when we go out cruisin'.Looking forward to hearing more. Barry |

You're welcome.....will try to get you an answer asap. Tell your wife I cut my hair so I didn't have to worry about it anymore (it was long enough to sit on)......no muss, no fuss and convertible friendly!!! ------------------ |

They don't do much for wind, but they look great and give a little privacy from behind. The only problem I is the nite vision, it's pretty dark due to the autodimming rear view mirror. |

Looks great but hard to see whats behind you! As the other person before said, the customer service from real rod has been piss poor, pardon my expression. I have been waiting for 8-10 months for new pads that had been promised. I finally gave up after the 2nd phone call and 2nd email. I'll tell you what, if I can get ahold of these jokers I will let them know how I feel. Jeff paulsen Just in case they read this forum I am giving them a big hint as to where they can send the new pads. |

Sassy... I have been thinking (dangerous I know), but, all ya have to do is simply drive ( and be cool like us Californian's) with the windows up and presto, no air problem, imagine that. ------------------ |

I think it is more of a privacy thing than a air. It seem everyone looks at you when you drive these KATs. ------------------ |

Sassy... you silly... THAT's the idea of driving a Prowler, to BE looked at... if you don't want that, a Prowler is not the car you want to drive... especially for a cute girl, this car is a total boy magnet! ------------------ |

Sassy, You do not have to drill any holes. I did and it hurt but if I was ever to sale the Prowler it would just go with it, quote: ------------------ |

I have an air patrol on a silver 2000 and everyone is right - it does not help the wind much but it does get a lot of positive comments. I also had etching done on it with the "prowler" cat emblem as the centerpoint. Just received one for the orange 01 cat and real rod had it to us within one week of ordering. I had also requested the pads and a replacement piece on the system 2 exhaust and they have been great to deal with. |

Yo Hiho, It's only the truth that I am telling. I am a very, very easy person to get along with and I will accept delays as long as they are justified. But do you think that 6-8 months is a reasonable time to wait for the new pads? If so then you have more patience than me. There was another person on this topic that is still waiting also, maybe if someone out there knows someone at the company they can tell them to read this post and satisfy their customers, thats all that I am asking for. Hope everyone has a great prowling weekend, see ya, jeff |
