Was at the dealer today, and they had to order a new steering column due to the clicking/popping sound that it was making. Was just curious if anyone else had to have their steering columng replaced?

I had a squeak and they changed the clock spring. ------------------ |

I have a '97 and had the steering column replaced in 1999 - I had the car about 5 months. Started out just making some noise which progressively got worse. Some had suggested the clock spring....the entire column was replaced because something was broken. I haven't had any problems with it since. And no squeeks from dash or anywhere else either. |
