I am a newbie so forgive me, but is it necessary to latch the rear of the roof when I am parked and the top is up? I want to keep it up to limit dust, but don't want to latch to avoid scratching. (Someone already sent me a fix for this but haven't purchased materials). Also still looking for someone who has had mods done in Houston. Thanks

Hi Chrome,

Welcome to ProwlerOnline!

Many people prefer not to latch the rear of the top while the car sits in the garage. There are really two benefits to it. First, it keeps the top material from getting stretched and eventually becoming loose fitting, and second it helps eliminate the marks on the paint from the rubber gasket that seals the trunk lid of the top.

On performance mods, I am in Houston and do most of them myself. I have heard of a shop that installed nitrous on Fred Henkels kat. I believe the name of the shop is Crusin' Classics. You can purchase the nitrous system right here in town from Nitrous Warehouse (site advertiser).
