OK all you woodward owners, that includes you davidn. Does anyone know anything about the two prototype woodwards that were made. The person I'm helping out with Prowler questions is set on a woodward I found in Ohio. I asked her to get the VIN and production number off the woodward. The sales guy says their isn't a production number since it was a prototype. Do any of you guys think that true. I guess it could. The dealer is sitting firm at $46K and keeps saying you are getting a good deal on one of the first woodwards made. It does have about 187 miles on it. Do you guys think this is reasonable for a woodward if it was a prototype or not?? My opinion is get it.. Thanks, ------------------ |

Jeff, If this is the same car that Reese James had for sale at CarTowne, there has been much discussion about it already. I hope this helps you. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 01-25-2001 at 02:37 PM |

I believe both the "Woodward" & "Black Tie" pilot Prowlers are called Two-tones. This is because the pilots do not have the numbered pin striping by Dr. Ru. Therefore, they are not Woodwards or Black Ties... ------------------ |

Stupid me, never thought to look in the cassified section. Thanks for all the info on this subject. I'll pass the info along and see what happens. I'm not sure if the person I'm helping out would be crushed if it was not signed by Dr Ru. I will make sure she does a full search on the VIN, just in case. But I think I agree with Laddie. It's a two tone not a woodward. Was it even called a woodward at the shows I wonder. One thing I do have to say, you guys sure did give it to Reese. He's come down about 2.9K in the last couple of weeks. And is probably tired of dealing with the thing.
