| Greek | Hello, has anyone had a oil gauge working intermitingly and then stop working all together? Things that I did check;the voltage to the oil pressure sending unit was good more then 10 volts; changed the sending unit;check the oil pressure with a mechanicly gauge it showed good pressure;change the oil gauge;did a self diagnostic test by pressing the odometer while the ignition was on the oil gauge moved to different positions.Im'thinking body control module or main circuit board . Any help would be appreciated Thanks This message has been edited by Greek on 05-05-2012 at 03:25 PM |
| idive | I would say the sending unit is bad but you said you replaced it. The sending unit is near the oil filter and sometimes gets bumped doing an oil change. |
| TLRandall | The gauge in my Mulholland almost never works. I need to change the sending unit again. |

| garysss | I have 01 Mulholland also, Same problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I just put a new sending switch on last week before leaving for Vegas. It has been working great. |
| Greek | First I thank The Lord Jesus, and everyone that responded to my oil pressure problem and pointed me to the oil sensor.I went to Napa and bought and installed a new sensor today started the car and have good oil pressure,I had my doubts.Because this is the second new sensor that I put in. Thanks again. |
| catfish | have had the same problem on my old dodge van.since new 1985 have put in 10 oil pressure units at about 30.00 each.i no longer bother to change, when it starts, no knock i know its ok.done buying those.last time i removed sensor and soaked in thinner for 24 hrs.reinstalled its ok. ------------------
