| jpt | I am getting no reading or an E2 fault on the FR wheel. My installation manual and the Orange Electronic web site doesn't mention anything about this problem. Does any of you using the Orange TPMS system can tell me what to do to solve the problem? Thank you very much. John |
| stevedymo | Found a new link for the P409S Manual. http://www.sinodownloads.com/down/download/PDF/3308025-P409S_owners_manual.pdf 'E2' error indicates that the wireless receiver has failed to receive one or more TPMS signals for 20 minutes.
Possible Causes: One or more sensor IDs are not configured correctly; One or more TPMS sensors have failed and need to be replaced. Solution: Have tire sensors relearned by display unit; Bring failed TPMS sensor back to distributor for repair or replacement. Hope this helps to resolve your problem. | davedem | Mine has 2 sensors doing the same thing...nothing...6 months old. I tried the reset 55 by lowering the pressure to less than 26 lbs..still nothing...I just got the car out of storage..I'll drive it this week and see if they wake up..the sensors are about 30$ each...but breaking down the tire and rebalancing 50$..Their quality control needs help. |
| davedem | The Orange company has horrible customer service...mine dead sensors are 6 months old and they want to charge me for 2 sensors...Don't buy anything from them...find a more suitable company. |
| Greg and Veta | I also now have an E2 code for my right front. Tried the relearn process but no luck. My sensors are 18 months old. |
| davedem | Horrible service from a horrible company. There is no way this company passed TS-16949 certification with their processes. http://www.orange-electronic.com/eng/07product/sub06.html DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. |

Which got me to thinking and trying a few things tonight. I did a front to rear "swap" on the receiver as if rotating tires front to rear. (Hold down setup and function buttons for 5 seconds, goes into mode 1, hold function button for 1 second until unit beeps, and then the readings are swapped. After a few seconds I had all four readings working. Then I swapped them back into the correct locations. The bad news was that after turning the car off then back on it was right back to the original problem. Not sure what this all means. Doesn't make sense.

| John Cole | i had an e2 reading for rf and now have e2 reading for lr. system is about 1 yr old. any thoughts for a better system. this was a waste of money. |
| idive | I'm sorry to hear about all this. It sounded like a good alternative for our systems. Has anyone gone with the ones Discount Tire offers? They tell me they will work for our cars, but I have some doubts. I had my light on most of the day today during our cruise today, no flashing or dinging tho. At times it went off but came back on later. I filled the tires about a month ago and figure it was just a faulty sensor. |
