BeWare | We received our clear side markers from Dale. I tried using purple bulbs in them, but they lit up very pink, So I went with amber bulbs.

tangled up in BLUE | looks good Rich.....WAY better than the ambers.... |
weswman | Beware, do you have any pics of your seats? |
ALLEY CAT | Rich - Much cleaner look with the clear side marker lights. DC should have thought and reacted to that after the '97's were built.
|
Orange | Very cool! You want to sell (maybe give away) your orange side markers? |
Chromer | The clear side marker lenes stick out too much. I like the original amber better. JMO |

Chromer, they are very brite. I am thinking of using a chrome shimmers with the cat cut out to soften the look some. |

Sorry they are not for sale. |
DUSTI | Wow - what a difference !! I always HATED those orange blobs, especially on the darker colors like the purple, blue or black - even on the silver cats that orange blob's just annoying !! Rich, try blue bulbs - they worked pretty good for us !! |
George Maxey | HEY!!! Pank is a good thang! No NOPI this weekend, scared of the rain and it's time for the stereo and TV's. We're tryin' to get ready for an Oct/NOv trip to Las Vegas. Keep up the good work! See ya in Daytona Beach.George |
weswman | Beware, those seats look great! Really dresses up the interior. How did you do it? Did you just cover the original leather or take off the original? What was used for the kat? E-mail me with the details. Really looks great. Wes This message has been edited by weswman on 09-19-2004 at 08:26 PM |

Does that mean you are not going to join us on the west coast this weekend???? Nancy |
ed monahan | Rich, Dale said something about painting the bulbs so they wind up closer to the color. I put in red and they are a little on the pink side. I haven't tried nail polish or paint on them yet. Dale said he bought some Purple, I think, that didn't look purple until he turned them on. Hopefully he will see this and straighten out all of my errors. |
Joseph Mark | Hi Rich, Can you e-mail me info.and cost on the seat covers. They look great. Thanks in advance. Joseph |
Marty Usher | Joseph - Rich's seats were done by the same guy I used for mine - James Comstock here in Louisville. First we both had a set of new foam seat cushions from a run that Real Rod had made several years ago. I don't think Bib has any cushions left but you can contact him to ask. Some people have found loacl sources to have cushions custom cut. I can't remember the price per seat - maybe Rich will post - I think it was something like $350 per seat plus the purchase of the leather hide. |
BeWare | Labor $250 each seat. Material $460, Dye the headrest $24 for the pair. I had to pay a sizable set up fee for the embroidery. Now that the set up fee is paid, I think the embroidery will be around $20 per seat. For the console lid $40. I also purchased another console lid to have covered at around $58 plus shipping. I also had to pay for the seat foams. If you can't get a set of foams then you will have to pay to have the leather on you old seats peeled off the old foams. |
marks2000woodward | looks sweet!!!!!!!!!! very nice |
Dale Beaman | Ed & Rich, The bulbs I got looked purple but were dark red when on. I got them at O'Reiley's. Check with them they may have a true purple bulb.Dale |
SPCL-T | Rich - Your making it awfully hard to "keep up w/ the Jones," w/ all your mod's the past few years. Your Kat is looking outstanding! |
RPL | Rich, Did you make the door prop in the photo above? I assume it is to keep the door from closing and being opened too far. |

Bob, Eddie Powell made the door prop rod. It is made of aluminum dowl rod and polished. Its really a pretty simple design. I will post pictures if your interested. The one I have was made before we made our doors open wider. I use it in car shows. I was getting allot of finger prints and people leaning on the doors to see inside the car. Now they can see inside without touching the car and the rod also keeps anyone from just hoping inside while the door is open. Eddie made another design for the wider opening doors but I don't have one of these. At least not yet This message has been edited by BeWare on 09-20-2004 at 07:44 PM |
