Don McCormackHotel California Live - Eagles

In mexican slang, "colitas" means cigarettes butts. Don Henley wrote the lyrics inspired by a legend about the real Hotel "California" in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur en Mexico. Local people used to tell the story of the phantom of a woman called Mercedes who invited wine to the foreigners at the horel, then leave.
It is said that Henley complained that the woman didn't send the wine and the manager said "we haven't had that (woman) spirit here since 1969". Henley made a legend of the legend

onecatnodogThanks for the time travel Don... I have not picked up my guitar in over 10 years as I have been way to busy... Might have to today, after the funeral for my boss... Feeling lost with much work to do, as I need to finish many started projects and get ready for a new year.. My life will be changed with out Mr. Boyer, as great friends are hard to replace, and long time ones just can't be... Time travel! Thinking about things in the past and wondering what the future has in store for us.. Wanting good for all... Music is great to the inner sole, as it has a way of making you smile with memories... Memories of what you were doing when you were listening to the music of yesteryear.. John(onecatnodog)Collins http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9TGj2jrJk8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AscPOozwYA8 Couple of songs as I have heaven on my mind... onecatnodog
