vipers95Just got a Orange baby last Saturday and going to screw with it already. Pulled the wires out of loom going to radio from steering column. Put jumpers from the volume buttons to the shift inputs on auto stick . Now have a F-1 shifter. Press up volume it shifts up and down volume it shifts down. I will post what wires go where and I hope to have a switch to put it back to radio or shifter at anytime at anytime. Cost about 10.00.
adcioccaCool deal, I'll try it too when you get us the wires to use....Thanks, happy Easter

obi-wanI posted over a month ago about a ring shift that a friend of mine and me have developed. He has one of these in his Kat and it works beautifully. We spent a number of hours trying to come up with a way to "do" a paddle shift but came up with this ring that serves the same purpose. The ring is slightly smaller that the wheel and lives behind it enough that one can steer the Kat without running in to it. To shift up you just push the ring to the right about about 3/8" and down shift by pushing it left. We will leave the shift lever to work as it always did. So... you have two autoshifts. He's put a number of miles on his system and I've driven it too. It works extremely well, in fact that's the only way he drives his now. I'll have mine in place in just a few weeks and we are making several more to sell. We use an orig. shift switch that we relocate under the dash hidden under the closing panel. We do mod. that panel so the linkage sneaks out of it and hides in a cute little box right under the hub of the wheel, You don't know its there. The switch and its linkage clamps to the steering column. Theres no permeate changes to the car. Only the uph. closing panel is changed and it's avail. from mother Chrysler so you could have a spare one in your inventory should you ever consider changing back(sale of the car-or whatever). When I install mine pic's will be taken and this will become one of my kits It will be avail from me and there will be a page of my flier system that will feature it. The cost is up in the air right now and hopefully I'll have that info after I do my inst. on my own Kat. Obi-Wan
