I looked to buy a set of these for 2 years with no luck but was very fortunate to find someone that would lend me theirs to get it 3d scanned... Andria shipped to me and paid the shipping plus did without them on her car for most if no all of the summer... without her this opportunity would not exist, Thanks Andria ! These front Nerfs will be a clone of the original Real Rod product, they will be CNC machined out of 6061 aluminum billet. real rods were cast. These will be offered only with a machined finish so it will be up to the purchaser to get them chromed, powdercoated, painted or polished on their own. It will also give you the opportunity to get engraving done if you chose before finishing. I need 10 sets to keep the price reasonable. The pair will be about $550 USD plus the cost of the mounting brackets and hardware to mount them. I am now getting a quote for the brackets. I am hoping for around $100. shipping from canada will be extra. I am just looking to see how many are interested, not collecting money. Please don't say you are interested if you don't intend to buy. I will not make a dime on this, Whatever it costs me will be what you will pay... post on the thread only if interested... please don't hijack or get off topic... Thanks a bunch...

The holes on the brackets are slots so the entire unit can be adjusted front to back about 1/4" so you will be able to mount them so they don't rub on the facia

I have ordered the 10 sets... the machine shop is going to run one set for me to fit on the car before running the other 9... this way I will be able to show everyone exactly what you will be getting... hoping to have them in a couple weeks.... by getting the machined pieces you will be able to get your own coating on them plus add things like engraving or additional holes to add driving lights... I found a guy that does the spray chrome and has all the bugs worked out so he produces perfect finish... I am thinking about going black chrome. He also can provide a clear ceramic coating... maybe I will have to disassemble the front end this winter... |

not long... they are going to do the first set by itself then do a fitting on my car... if all is good then they will do the other 9 sets pretty fast... the beauty of the cnc machine... I will take lots of pictures of the first set so everybody can see exactly what they are getting... |

Just a quick update... The CNC machine shop should have my first trial set done soon, as soon as I get them I need to install the brackets on the car and mock up where they will fit so as to mark where the mounting holes need to be drilled on the bars themselves. The 3D scan I had done didn't pick up where the holes need to be. minor detail. the brackets came in at $84/set. I just need to get a few bolts to complete the hardware. I am a bit hesitant in trying to ship these units near the holidays... I will likely ship by Priority post and would expect service to be slower in the weeks coming up to Christmas. I definitely know customs for crossing the border has delays. I am thinking mid January would be best.
