After some development we finally have available for order the 3rd Gen Custom Prowler Steering Wheel. It is a Carbon Fiber version of the Original Custom Prowler Steering Wheel. They are designed and built with a Carbon Fiber overlay on the painted/color portion of the Original Custom Steering Wheel. The first production one is for a certain Black Prowler that has been heavily customized. I'm sure once this Member installs it, he'll post here with his comments. The Carbon Fiber is applied to the painted areas that are color coded to your specific Prowler Exterior Color. The next one is going to be for my Red Prowler, a Red Steering Wheel with Carbon Fiber. I'll post pics here when that one is completed. The cost of these new generation Steering Wheels will be $550.00, just $50.00 more than my 2nd Gen Steering Wheel which is still priced at $500.00. For both of these Steering Wheels, I still DO NOT require you original steering wheel as a core or charge you for a core. You keep your old steering wheel in case you ever swap back or sell your Prowler and want to remove your Mods. I DO NOT charge you any extra Shipping as the cost of my steering wheel includes free shipping. If you are out of the Lower 48 States, you will have to pay the additional shipping cost via Priority Mail International (what I pay) extra. I DO NOT require you to pay any money up front and you dont pay me ANYTHING until you receive it and are satisfied with it. THEN you pay me. If for some reason you dont like it, send it back to me and I'll pay your return shipping costs. I can make this offer because I've never had one returned. Here are some pics of the First one I've done. Any questions, feel free to PM me and I'll give you my email and phone number. Your new Steering Wheel WILL NOT come with the pictured Switches, Wiring and Bezel though, they are shown on this steering wheel for these pics only. You'll use the ones off your original Steering Wheel when you swap over. Hope all this isn't too confusing.. Thanks, Buddy.

Hi George, yes I can pretty much use any Stitching Color you choose and if it isn't a hard-to-find color, there will be no extra charge. |

When I read 3rd generation thought I bought it too soon But I have looked at the new one and I'm ok with it, some like the carbon fiber look but I like my yellow So for those that like the look it is a great product. Wish I had thought about the yellow thread for the leather |

A tremendous thanks to BuddyC for making this idea real... The pictures do not do it justice. Its a work of art that I am proud to have on the Hellkat... He wouldn't take a Deposit or payment until I had it in my hands so it was an outstanding project for me in every way... Thanks Buddy ! |

I have kept the car stock all these years but if that were to change I would have Buddy's steering wheel in a heartbeat..tough call between red or carbon fiber. |

Thank you everyone for all the great comments, I really appreciate it. I'm almost done with the 2nd Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel, this one is Red with Carbon Fiber and Red Thread as I will install it in my own car. When I have it finished, I'll start a new thread and post some pics of it. After looking at Jim's installed in his Hellkat, I cant believe I waited this long to get started with this New Version. They were all the same diameter as they were all made from original Prowler Steering Wheels. Sorry but I dont make these anymore and haven't for years. Total production turned out to be 110, and are on Prowlers all over the world. If you have one then you know how special and rare they turned out to be.. |
