Not sure but the BMW dealer and Toyoto dealer both say their joint venture car will be arriving soon.
BMW Z5 or Toyoto Supera.

The Prowler probably won't sell. I'm willing to lose a little. I've had it 5 years.

Do you happen to have a photo of Gort's car in front of his home?

It's the chrome cover type not the exchange of the

parts.

I have a 100% rating , but you never know about the buyer. When the bank wire transfer goes in ,I'll say it's sold. I'm looking at several cars. Not sure what I'll do. I hate to see the Prowler go. It's been a good one. I never had a code come up or anything really. Looks like after 4 and 1/2 years it ended up costing me $1k per year to own it. Not bad for a toy. Cheaper than a lot of hobbys.

A bidder bid $29,500. $250 short of the reserve, but he didn't know that. The sale closes. The bidder who bid $29,500 gets a second chance offer to buy the item at the price HE bid. Haven't heard anything. Maybe it was just someone fooling around on Ebay.

If someone offers a new Porsche for $300k . The starting price is $275k. I bid the starting price of $275k knowing that I can't possibly be held to buy the item since you can't list the reserve and starting price as the same amount. Is this just a way for me to brag that I bid $275k on a new Porsche?

Why bother doing all this?

He bid on another Prowler the same day so I doubt if he was just doing it for fun.

That makes me feel better. If he didn't want mine he can bid on another Prowler. I just have never seen someone bid the exact starting amount and do nothing else. I have bid slightly over the starting amount but I wanted the item. Bidding the exact starting amount really doesn't mean anything.

Why in the world did you have a reserve of only $ 250? You don't have to set a reserve at all. You lost a sale over that in all probability.

I think Gort meant he had a reserve of $29,750.00 and the starting bid was $250 below that point ... so yes, he lost the deal over just $250.00 .... if this were a face to face transaction, my guess is the car would have sold ...

Exactly. It was a Auction bid with a reserve. The starting bid was $29,500. I had the reserve at $30,500. I lowered the reserve to $29,750. The bidder didn't really bid. He put $29,500 as a starting price which really means nothing. You have to go over the starting price to take a chance on buying the car or getting closer to the reserve.. If you don't set a reserve someone could bid $5 and it would sell.

It would not sell for $5 if you have a starting bid of $29500. So you could have listed with a starting bid of $29500 without having a reserve.

Gary, Gort said that "without a reserve" someone could bid $5.00 and take the car ... which is correct, and why on a high ticket item like vehicles holding a reserve is wise choice to make.

Good luck with sale Gort.
