Greetings everyone! I need to go over a few items of concern for those interested in attending the 'Prowling the Plateau' event in early October. When I made arrangements with Wyndham Resorts for the condos I signed a binding contract. This locked us into a very favorable rate of $145 / night; Tax Included ; which is comparable to a local hotel. Five months ago we had 23 couples who wanted to attend the event and we are currently up to a 'paper count' of 30 couples, which is wonderful!

Wyndham told me they could accomodate everyone if reservations were made early.

There lies the crux of the issue...... only 10 couples have called to make reservations to date.

I recently received a call from Wyndham reminding me of my contract commitment, which becomes full and binding August 15th. (This means I become financially responsible for the cost of these Condos.) I have also signed contracts for the Friday Wine and Cheese Meet and Greet, the Community Club room rental for Thursday, food service for the Thursday costume party, and live band for Thursday.

Also, I will need to send $700 (50% down) to Miss Mary Bobo's restaurant in Lynchburg (Jack Daniels Distillery) by Sept 14. "Tempus Fugit" I have received checks from only two people.

So....Unless we get at least another 13 couples minimum to call Kim at 931-707-2052 to make reservations I may have to pull the plug on the event. We really don't want that to happen. I know people will be busy for the 4th of July holiday but if your interested in attending this event please get your reservations in very soon!

I have the various upfront food, band, and hall rental costs tallied. I will need to collect $137.00 from each couple. I will need to have these 'upfront costs' BY THE 15TH OF AUGUST, 2018. (this amount is based on a minimum of 24 couples attending. If the number falls below this amount I will need to collect a few dollars more from each couple.

The $137.00 covers: Wine and Cheese social on Friday night; the Tuesday family style lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's in Lynchburg; and the Thursday night hall rental, 4 hours live band, and 'heavy horderves' menu at the Community Center. Other meals and event fees not mentioned above will be your responsibility.

As of 7/15/2018 we have 16 couples booked, which is excellent!!

If we can get 7 more couples booked out of the 17 private emails I sent out on July 7th, adjustments will not be necessary.

So, Please call and make your reservation by the 15th of August if you are planning on attending this event!
