Greetings everyone! This is the official 2018 Smokey Mtn. National Events page...."Prowling the Plateau". This event is being held Oct. 12-19th, 2018.

We are going to utilize this specific post for information updates, questions, and answers. Please refer to the other post for specific event details.

FFG / Wyndham has obtained housing for the Prowler group in Oct. Rental for a one bedroom condo for one week will be $1020.44 or $145.00 a night, TAX INCLUDED! LESS EXPENSIVE THAN A LOCAL HOTEL ROOM! A two bedroom condo for one week is $1226.59 or $175.00 a night.
If you can not attend the entire week that is OK....Try to make it for a few days and use the weekend to stretch out the adventure! You can work that out with Kim.

Remember, we are not staying at a hotel. We are staying in a condo resort community, owned by Wyndham, and located in Farifield Glade Tennessee. Each condo, including the one bedroom units, can sleep additional persons. Each condo has at least 2 full baths, kitchen, living room, eating area, fireplace, T.V. , parking, linen service, towels, dishes, utensils, etc.

You will need to reserve your condo>>>STARTING 2/8/2018.

Kim has also helped with various planning for meals and the costume party.
All the various travel locations and business owners have been contacted and are aware of our event. I will contact them again in mid September to verify head count and attendance.

THE DROP DEAD DATE FOR YOUR CONDO RESERVATIONS HAS BEEN REVISED TO WEDNESDAY AUGUST 15TH, 2018.

YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED IN ADVANCE FOR THE CONDO-YOUR CREDIT CARD IS USED ONLY TO HOLD YOUR RESERVATIONS!

Cancellations must be received thirty (30) days or more prior to scheduled arrival date to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is received four (4) or twenty-nine (29) days prior to scheduled arrival date, a penalty fee equivalent to one night stay plus tax per unit will be applied. Cancellation notifications within three (3) days or less prior to the scheduled arrival date, will receive no refund.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BRING A TRAILER. TRAILER PARKING WILL BE AT 'THE 4 WAY STOP' ACROSS FROM THE WYNDHAM CHECK IN OFFICE. IF YOU UNHOOK YOUR TRAILER PLEASE BRING ALONG A TONGUE LOCK. CITY WATER IS BEING MADE AVAILIABLE TO US AT THE SAME SITE. IF SOMEONE CAN PLEASE BRING A HOSE AND SPRAYER ALONG CAR WASHING IS PERMITTED HERE. NO CHARGE.

I have the various upfront food, band, and hall rental costs tallied. I will need to collect $137.00 from each couple. I will need to have these 'upfront costs' BY THE 15TH OF AUGUST, 2018. (this amount is based on a minimum of 24 couples attending. If the number falls below this amount I will need to collect a few dollars more from each couple.

The $137.00 covers: Wine and Cheese social on Friday night; the Tuesday family style lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's in Lynchburg; and the Thursday night hall rental, 4 hours live band, and 'heavy horderves' menu at the Community Center. Other meals and event fees not mentioned above will be your responsibility.

The FFG Community Center is reserved for 5 hours Thursday evening for the Costume Party. We will have most of the parking lot to ourselves. There is a large banquet room on site as well as indoor pool, restrooms, large game room, sauna, hot tub, showers, locker room, pickleball, basketball, and a nice lounge area/foyer with open fire place. These amenities are for your use anytime during your stay at FFG.

I have completed a multi page document that I will be sending to your personal email address in the near future. Please print this document and bring it with you to the event. Driving instructions are included.
Bring your smart phone with a directions app. or Garmin to help with directions.
