Here we go <> I was a big movie star and matinee idol. On November 4th 1960 I was changing a tire on my jeep when I experienced terrible pains in my chest. Felt like a vice squeezing it. When the pain subsided I went into the house and my wife said I looked awful. I had an early supper and went to bed but did not sleep well. Next day while getting dressed it happened again so an ambulance was called and I went to the hospital where a coronary was confirmed.

My wife slept in hospital and wouldn't leave my side and I did well and seemed to be recovering quite nicely. Remember this was before bypass surgery and treatment was rest and medication. I was doing so well and feeling so good and being now over 10 days in hospital my wife decided she could leave me to attend some things at home. I was reading a magazine shortly after she left when I suddenly slumped back in my bed and passed away. Ironically my wife too suffered from heart disease and would succumb as well to it. If I hadn't done all that drinking and smoked all those cigarettes throughout life oh what might have been.
