Can someone tell me what car this is??? Was working on a property last week and came across this buried in a hill in the back yard. Look at the emblem on the fender. Sorry the pic is so big,,, was able to load the pic with my phone.

No side view mirror, so it is probably a Chip Foose design!

Not convinced it is a Buick,,, my Dad had Buick's all his life,,,do not remember seeing that emblem on his cars. Did you look at the close up pic of the fender emblem in the Instagram link? I can not find a pic of it on the net. Never seen a emblem like it before. I am thinking the car pictured is in the late 40's early 50's from looking at old car pics body styles.

L/D,,,, I'm not convinced either, just a guess, and going from past memory of a neighbor's '49 Buick that had similar lines:

Could you provide us with the VIN# ?

Just stopped by to visit my 84 year old Godfather,,,, he has no idea what kind of car it is either. The search continues on,,, it is just the point of it now, like a challenge. Going back to the jobsite next week,,, that emblem is going to majically disapear.

That steering wheel is of no help...center cap horn emblem is missing

Take a shovel and a axe back with you to dig deeper into that pile of rust.... I'm still going with a Buick guess

I looked for the steering wheel emblem when I first looked at the car. I think there should be something on the nose,,,if it's not totally rotted away.

I just looked at the close up emblem pic I took,,,the one on instagram. Look to the left of the emblem,,,you can actually see another emblem to the left covered in dirt. So there should be 4.

Went to a b-day party last night and spoke with my fathers brother,, a real car connoisseur. I showed him the pic and he said Buick right off. This is were it gets technical. He said does it have 3 or 4 port holes??? And the front bumper will tell what model it is. That style port hole was on other models. He was saying my late Dad would know,,, that's all he had was Buick's. We talked about cars for about a hour.

If you don't know the difference between three and four port holes in Buick's, you are not a Buick guy. lol
I believe they revived the idea in later years as some of the Buick's had V-6 and V-8 engines again.
I don't claim to be a Buick guy but my wife filled me in on all this Buick trivia. lol

Buick update,,,,

Did some digging,,, three portholes.

Other key distinctions,, two door, hard top, stainless trim on side, tail lights and trunk lid emblem.

So with all the facts at hand it is a 1952 Buick Special.

I could not get the portholes off without destroying them so AC gets nada, sorry.

What a crock of BS,,,,,"AC gets nada"

That was a tough trivia question.....and I got it!!

How about a hubcap,,,a taillight,,,the complete dash, or the steering wheel?

I figured you would dig out the mice chit piles and mail them to me, lol Send the mice crap to UB....he'll use it to rub on Steph Curry's foot for healing power
