^ That's a '50 Plymouth sled with a GM 4 banger out of a Pontiac Soltice. He has owned it for over a year. No top, no heat, no a/c....but it does get lots of attention.

Dave, That is our friend Jerry Pignolo, who has owned two Prowlers previously and is in the Members Registry. He had a purple '97 brand new and a '01 orange. The purple '97 went in for a oil change at a Chrysler service department and didn't come down off the lift rack due to the tech noticing a cracked frame Chrysler sent out a Alcoa tech to inspect the welds,,,,said he could weld but Alcoa would not sign off on any liability claims ahead. D-Chrysler was then forced to buy the cat back, so Jerry bought a orange cat. Jerry owns >

I entered a contest to win a new, free, installed air conditioning unit... > had to have the oldest, still running A/C unit. Just like participating in L/D's vehicle identification quizzes, I was the Winner!

My 45 year old, A/C unit was still running and never had a service call....never any Freon added....and one condenser fan motor replacement four years ago, that I did myself. It wasn't even close.....I wouldn't believe it myself that a unit could last that long,, if I hadn't owned the house for all of the years > 44 years.
.
.

.

New unit installed yesterday, but being only 75 degrees here yesterday,,,will wait until higher temps next week to see how it performs.

Wow Larry, maybe the old unit coulda last another 44 years...

Nice prize though! Especially in AZ. although we are getting AZ hot here in the summers for the last few years.

It'll be interesting to see if your utility bill gets lower...

Not quite Dave,,, but close. Last summer I was out-of-state for nearly three weeks, and the day I returned home it was 124 Dry Heat outside, and a comfortable 92 indoors with no A/C running while I was gone:

The old A/C I think was a 7 or 8 SEER rating unit,,,so hopefully the new unit should cut my electric bill down 35 to 40%+ I'm gue$$ing....

L/D ,,, Our friend Jerry was in a big car show in Las Vegas last weekend....and brought home the Best in Show Trophy
.

.

You might think that he trailered his sled to Las Vegas from PHX and bac,,,,but no he drove the 600 mile roundtrip with
NO A/C,,No Top,,No heater. I'm sure he was praying for no mechanical breakdown, no rain, or flat tire

L/D,,, I seen that you are a Harley guy.... Jerry owns this business > http://www.azfuntimerentals.com/

He also knows a thing about bikes

That is definately a looker for sure. It must be realy nice to see in person. Rear flat would be a issue,,lol. I can not believe he drove it 600 miles,, takes serious stones to do that.

My bike is not a Harley,,, it's a Suzuki Boulavard M109. When I pull up to a light my hands do not fall off from the vibration.

ADULT HUMOR ,,,, don't read if easily offended:

Rated PG - parental guidance

As Buddha was quoted: “There are three things that cannot be easily hidden, the sun, the moon, the truth."

Two Truths and 5 Rules of Life

SIMPLE TRUTH 1:
Lovers help each other undress before sex.
However, after sex, they always dress on their own.
Moral of the story -- In life, no one helps you once you're screwed.

SIMPLE TRUTH 2:
When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch the stomach and say, "Congrats."
But, none of them comes up to the man - touch his p3nis and say, "Good job."
Moral of the story -- Hard work is rarely appreciated.

FIVE RULES TO REMEMBER IN LIFE:
1. Money cannot buy happiness - but it's far more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle.
2. Forgive your enemy - but remember the azzhole's name.
3. If you help someone when they're in trouble - they will remember you when they're in trouble again.
4. Alcohol does not solve any problems - but then, neither does milk.
5. Many people are alive only because it's illegal to shoot them.

BONUS RULE:
Condoms do not guarantee safe sex. A friend of mine was wearing one when he was shot by the woman's husband.

I think Congressmen should wear uniforms. You know, like NASCAR drivers, so we could identify their corporate sponsors!
