Hi O Great and Wise Ones, Issue I have is battery life when car is not used. Replaced existing battery with a new one because old one wouldn't hold a charge more than a week. Now the new one is doing the same dang thing. How long "should" the battery hold a charge between startups. Also is it OK to put a master on and off switch on it or would that put to much a load on the CPU going ack and forth. Do have a battery tender to install on it. Advise please and THANKS Jim in TN

Something is drawing to much current, a new battery should last way longer than 2 weeks. I would and do use battery tender. I think it is much better for computers. You should try and find what is killing battery. What do you have on car that's aftermarket, alarm, horn, lights, radio?

Good thread to test what's going on and how to test.

In this thread there is good info where to check the battery cables. Everyone should check this area regardless.
