Any ideas on a location to have my PCM checked. Dealer says PCM is my reason it won't start. It starts up sometimes and then shuts off. I would rather not replace it and have it checked and repaired first. |

Take it for a second opinion> Can you tell us what has lead up to this. Sounds to me like a fuel pump issue.? Will start up and then shuts off..Hummm I can guess just like the dealer but that doesn't help any one . What year are we dealing with . Can you do a pressure test on the fuel rail. 50 psi car just sitting 60 when running and holds after shut off with slow relief to 0 |

If it won't start it is missing fuel, ignition, or injector pulse. All three can be confirmed. The easy one is checking fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. This message has been edited by padroo on 09-01-2018 at 04:26 PM |

I don’t know if this is pertinent but I had a similar problem on my Toyota Tundra. The problem turned out to be a faulty alarm/ anti-theft device. |
